I live in TX, and the temps don't drop low for long around here. Even when we get some cold weather, it's short lived. Well today, it dropped to 37, with a wind chill that made it feel a lot colder. 20mph +++ winds.

Got in my truck and stared it, and I see a quick picture pop up on the center screen showing the seat and steering wheel as red in color. Seconds later, I realized it had automatically turned on the heated seat and heated steering wheel controls. I didn't touch anything. The truck just did it. Nice!!!

On the way home I had the map up. I realized while driving down a major road that the map shows the speed limit on the right hand lower corner. I wanted to see how accurate it was, so when I passed a sign that dropped the speed limit form 45 to 35, I watched it - almost immediately, it changed.

I'm liking this new truck more and more every day!

All the best,
Glenn

Those are pretty sweet features. Thought about putting the heated seats in my truck. Wife Jeep has them, they're nice. They're not auto though.

Vehicles are getting smarter and smarter every year. My wife's 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland makes my plain 2010 SLT look like a dinosaur. That car has it all.

Don't believe the GPS on speed limits look for signs. Its nice but I can't tell you how many people I stop for speeding amd their GPS is 10mph too fast on the limit. Be careful!

Don't know about normal starts, but on my 2012, when you remote start it, if it is below 40, it does that (turns on the seat & steering wheel heaters), and if it is above 80, it turns on the seat ventilation

My 13 does this too and I love it. Teaming that feature with the remote start makes cold mornings very pleasant.

The cooled seats really take the edge off a hot interior quick.

The automatic heated seats and steering is the cat's ass up here in northern climates.

I'd love some heated seats. Never had them. I have had leather but not with heat. That's cold in the winter.

We're having our first real cold snap of the year, in Texas, and I've only had my truck a couple of months. I drove around freezing my ass off and unable to see through any mirrors for about 15 minutes last night before I remembered I had heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors, etc. :Stupid Me:

Same here - my wife's 2011 Jeep GC has the heated / cooled seats and heated steering wheel, and I've been envious for the past two years. Now I have them all as well, and mine are automatic, but hers are not. Saw her reading a flyer from the local Jeep dealership today, telling her how much her "trade in" is worth.

All the best,
Glenn

Oh, I won't. I'm keeping my eyes on the road, so the speed limit signs I see posted are the ones I'm concerned with. However, where I live, there are many roads that you won't see a speed limit sign on for miles. One in particular that I know of has a speed trap set up because they know that nobody knows the speed limit. The only two speed limit sign are one on each end of the road, right when you turn onto the road. if you turn onto that road from one of the many side streets, you will never see a speed limit sign the whole time. On those streets, it comes in handy to at least give me an idea of what the speed limit is (or was).

All the best,
Glenn

Yeah, my seat ventilation was turned on a few times last week when it was warmer, but I thought I had bumped the switch when reaching for my sunglasses, as I put them in the little center console tray right below the switches. I didn't realize it was turning the seat ventilation on for hotter temps as well. Yet another thing I learned about my truck. Nice!

All the best,
Glenn
