1st off, the guys that did the install did a bang up job, very pleased with what they did.
I had the flat pipe that connect the left cat to the Y replaced with 2.5" round, the magnaflow Y-Pipe installed along with my Raceland E-Cutout. All of the exhaust piping was less than 3" from the old Y to the muffler (18" glasspack), so, I had all of that replaced with 3" stainless too.
1st impressions, the Y-Pipe has made my exhaust a little quieter, certainly no noticeable increase in hp or tq with it on. It may be psychological, but, with the exhaust being a little less aggressive sounding the truck seems a little less peppy, maybe I am just used to the 91 tune (Is there a 93 tune hidden in the SC3865, I need more pep
).
The cutout....loud and obnoxious
, I don't think it will stay open all the time as personally, it just sounds like an engine with a ****** big hole in the exhaust, which, is not quite what I was looking for really, I was hoping to get a much more deep raw V8 rumble with it, but, hey ho, there you go, its a cool little gimmick I can scan mustangs with (which I did last night
).
