1st off, the guys that did the install did a bang up job, very pleased with what they did.

I had the flat pipe that connect the left cat to the Y replaced with 2.5" round, the magnaflow Y-Pipe installed along with my Raceland E-Cutout. All of the exhaust piping was less than 3" from the old Y to the muffler (18" glasspack), so, I had all of that replaced with 3" stainless too.

1st impressions, the Y-Pipe has made my exhaust a little quieter, certainly no noticeable increase in hp or tq with it on. It may be psychological, but, with the exhaust being a little less aggressive sounding the truck seems a little less peppy, maybe I am just used to the 91 tune (Is there a 93 tune hidden in the SC3865, I need more pep :) ).

The cutout....loud and obnoxious :), I don't think it will stay open all the time as personally, it just sounds like an engine with a ****** big hole in the exhaust, which, is not quite what I was looking for really, I was hoping to get a much more deep raw V8 rumble with it, but, hey ho, there you go, its a cool little gimmick I can scan mustangs with (which I did last night :) ).

Got my cutout put on the other day. Sounds angry. Got pics of your setup?

Nice! My cutout stays open 95% of the time. Seems loud at first but its hardly noticeable to me now.

I may replace the glasspack to see if I can't get a deeper more rumble felt tone....any suggestions?

Regards,

Jake

Which cutout is that? I have been thinking of getting one but I don't really want a toggle switch.
I also have a 13' so I don't have the in console cig plug.

I know, as I sat in the waiting room I was thinking about your experience expecting to take a look and hitting the roof, however, they were really good, kept taking me back to see the progress, asking the right questions, making sure everything was as I wanted it, the only thing we differed on was the placement of the cutout, I asked for it to be around 12" from the Y-Pipe, the guy doing the work was concerned that it was too close to the transfer case, so, we moved it back 10".

Total for the Y-Pipe fab, cutout install and new 3" came to $175

Installed my magnaflow 14" and QTP E-Cutout today at the Army's auto craft shop. Took 3 hrs and $30. I love the sound of the magnaflow and all i have to do is wire up my switch for the cutout and wire up my AFR gauge that i also drilled and welded the **** in the downpipe. Cant wait....

Got everything wired up and im like most the cutout makes it sound like you have a beat up old pickup when cruising. First test drive at a stop light i opened it up and the people next to me gave me a WTF look. At WOT its freaking awesome. Was it worth over 200 idk but its definitely fun. Like mentioned above i got the QTP and i also got their turndown tip and have it pointed straight to the ground. Im thinging about rotating it more towards the passenger side so the person next to me can really hear it. Lol

If you looking for a more aggressive muffler I'd check out an aero turbine 3030xl I run one on my truck it's a straight threw design not chambered like a flow master and it has a real aggressive sound it's not overbearing though when cruising

The 3030XL is actually resonated as well. The standard AT3030 is even louder.
