I'll be installing my Kenwood 2M next weekend using a Comet No-Hole Fender Bracket DG2ANTPF mount for the Diamond antenna. I plan to run the coax and power in through the clutch delete hole.

Here's the question: there's already a heavy wire running through a grommet in the clutch delete. Do you run the other wires alongside or make another hole and seal it up?

I'm mounting the radio right beneath the am/fm and switches.

Wanna see some pics of the install! I'm not yet licensed thanks to the virus but gives me time to study I guess. I already have a 10m to install.

These trucks sure do come in LOTS of trim levels...

Mine is plane-Jane Tradesman. Nothing fancy in the middle at all.

Nothing arrived yet so all I've done is mount the radio:

I ordered a ProClip mount for the mic that will go to the left of the vent, very convenient reach from the wheel:

I should have all the parts this week and do the install on Saturday.

I was up in the NC mountains yesterday with just my HT. Lots of traffic on 2M and I couldn't get out worth a dang. It will be good to have my radio back in service. Didn't really realize how much I use it.

I'm on the fence about mounting the CB though. Not sure it's worth the effort.

It's all in and working great.
I had a local stereo shop install a Viper Remote Keyless Entry yesterday, a task that's very convoluted on a Tradesman BTW, and while the dash was apart we ran the coax all through it to avoid coils. Popped the coax and power up through the little shelf below/behind the ham. Gotta say that it looks pretty tidy.

The ProClip mount for the mic is rock-solid and very convenient. But it blocks the vent a little. Not sure if I'm going to get used to that or not.

I'll try to snap another pic eventually.

Looking forward to seeing that
