Ya wish i caught this post before would of warned you i had problems with that same chrome paint, looks good so far man nice job

It's cool, it just bumped back my schedule about 2 weeks. Turns out I'm just fine taking my time and making sure it looks better than stock when done.

Got a lot more work done on these today. To anyone thinking of using the D2S Morimotos.. Let me save you the effort. Just get the H1s. Christ these things have been a PITA.

I took way to long making all the wires the right length and other such OCD habits of mine, but tonight it's aiming time (D2Ss SUCK...) then tomorrow final cleaning, assembly and installation. 'bout damned time. The 3000° lights are SICK! I'm super excited with them!

No new pics to post! They look the exact same as before. Hopefully I'll have installed pics today! (with pattern shots to follow tonight)

JJ: The D2S is simply not compatible with the dual (or likely the quad) housing. The threaded shaft is too large for the factory light hole. Thus you have to open it up. Not difficult, but this creates issues since there is no longer anything to 'clock' the projector too. So, once I was sure it was lined up correctly, I had to fill the back side of the housing with JB weld to hold the projector from rotating. All and all, this was a HUGE PITA.

The rest of the 'issues' I had were just me being OCD. Such as wanting the headlight resistors and all to be mounted perfect, out of sight etc. With a lot of rewiring, lengthening and shortening of the wires, they work beautifully! Other than the 1 power wire coming out of the fuse box, it looks entirely stock, a look I spend a lot of time to maintain!

I love love love the way they came out. Sorry the truck is so dirty otherwise I'd've done a photoshoot.
I think I might be changing out my Lamin-X for smoke here soon.
The yellow doesn't make the yellow HIDs much MORE yellow than they already are.

Tell me more about this bleach thing.

Fill an appropriate sized vessel with bleach.
Place part in said vessel.
Wait.
Chrome disappears.
Remove part, rinse with water.
Prime / Paint and/or leave black.

It really was that easy!
