2014 Dodge Ram Hemi with 100k miles. Found out I had a few broken springs. Local dealer wanted to charge several thousand dollars and remove heads. Instead I bought this tool and changed them all in an evening. Just an FYI all.

No reason you cant do the springs yourself with the correct tool. What springs did you install? Did you go with a stock spring or make the upgrade to a better spring?

Just went with the stock springs. Don't plan on keeping the truck that much longer.

When you change springs with the heads still on, make sure you either have the piston at TDC or fill the cylinder with compressed air to keep the valve up. Last thing you wanna do is compress the spring, remove the keepers and see the valve drop into the cylinder.

Another trick is to get some 1/8" or so rope, a very long piece, and feed it through the plug hole until the cylinder is filled so the valve can't fall in.

That’s what we did when I was a mechanic. We modified the air hose male fitting with the same threads as a spark plug.....never dropped a valve in over 20 years.

Compression testor hose is what I've used to pressurize the cylinder. The better compression testors usually unplug and have an air chuck that'll fit a air compressor hose

That’s what I do, just make sure you take the schrader valve out first. Seen guys forget to do that and almost drop a valve.
