Yes, i believe there is an intermittent short. Doesn't need anything plugged in for it to happen. It "may" also be causing the camera interference you are having.

Do you think either of these are normal or could be causing my issue?1343e399e64cc454547ce547b78f5f6e.jpgc22e9b1d364e52e65630f5948bd021a2.jpg

Is it the far left connector in this picture?ef0142a8c910bec6999ab47619545a11.jpg

No, I believe its the one to the right (in the middle) and the wire colors should be light green/light blue and light green/tan.

Do you have an additional video input wired in? I ask because maybe that is what creates the short in the factory wiring somehow. I wired in a separate input for cargo can at the radio.

Following up on my post from a few months ago about a UAS I purchased out of a 2019 classic big horn. I have been using it for months now and have had 0 issues with it and everything works flawlessly. Was waiting to post the update to give myself time to fully explore all of the features and verify the functionality and compatability with my 15 1500.
The part number I have is 68461703AB and it has been verified working for 5+ months now.
Will post back with an update if anything changes regarding this.
Thank you for the help everyone! I look forward to finishing the rest of the mods on my to do list and appreciate the infinitely helpful community we have here.

Bit the bullet and ordered a 68283703AA from Benny. Even with shipping and USD / CAD conversion cheaper than my local dealer (just barely).
68283703AA arrived yesterday. Got it installed in the truck right away - pretty simple to retrofit the 2015 center console. I just used a utility knife to trim away the plastic; basically shaved it back carefully until I got a tight fit. Very happy with the fit and, as assumed, works great.

* A few people have reported getting USB "device not supported" error messages at startup with the actual 2018/19 Ram USB Hub on newest shipping application version ... v34.2.x ...

Q: What UAQ/UAS radio PN are you using?

Q: What application version is it on?
(Are you on v22.6.0 ?)

For clarity - this is a 2017 Chrysler 200 hub, not a 2018/2019 RAM hub. My 2018 RAM hub (which is what I was using before the Chrysler hub) never gave me problems, but I don't have any updates available according to uConnect (I'm way behind).

Radio P/N: 68340153AD

Application Version: 18.11.0 (NN-ER-18.11.0-20170720-E06M)

Sorry for the late replies I'm terrible at that between work and home projects. Yes and no to the additional video input. After figuring out unplugging the harnesses under the seat didn't make any difference I plugged the Customtronix Enzo back in so I can utilize my front camera w/the cargo & backup cams. I plugged in my RCA video splitter into the cargo cam rca on the Customtronix so I can split the feed but haven't taken the time to see if that error code is still there after reverting it back to stock. I just know that with everything back to stock the radio camera screens still have interference with or without the plugs under the driver seat unplugged unfortunately. I've tried pulling the fuse under the hood on the passenger side for the radio multiple times, resetting the radios and checking wiring in the center console, under DS seat and behind radio with no luck unfortunately. Really frustrating because I don't trust a shop to look at it but I'm feeling like I'm at a loss at this point.

This is a mod I'd like to try - swapping my 2014 RA4 unit with a UAQ so I can do Apple Carplay. Looks like all the info I need should be in these posts. I just need to find a reasonably priced unit now! That may be easier said than done...

Keep your eyes peeled on the forum classifieds, local salvage yards and www.car-part.com
It took me a while to get my hands on one but was able to get everything all at once from someone on the forum.
Unless you absolutely have to have the built in NAV, you can always go with a UAS. Your not loosing out on much as the AndroidAuto/CarPlay navigation is a hundred fold better.
I haven't followed along closely lately but I know the '14 sometimes have the issues with the heated seat and steering wheel soft-keys on the radio stay greyed out. when switching to a UAQ/UAS

Yep I took a look at the salvage yards today. Trying to keep an eye on the for sale forum. Good point about the UAS/UAQ difference. It wouldn't be a deal breaker. And I think it's the soft keys that don't work for heated seats but that's ok too- I always use the physical buttons for those.

I found a model 2019 #68399198AF head unit. Any issue installing in my 2014 1500 which has an 8.4" RA4 in it now?

Will I then just need a new media hub and wiring harness? Anyone have a media hub p/n to match this head unit or just use a 2018 one? I have the full center console.

That's a 5th gen 2500 radio. Not sure what one exactly. That's going to have issues.

I have the full center console.

@Mpgrimm2 - I'd like to order the media hub harness from you if I need that. Would you please send me details?

Hoping someone can help with ID'ing a part. I need to order a media hub for my 2014 Ram 1500. I currently have a full center console, and the hub has 2 USB ports and 1 SD card slot.

I don't have to have this same combo of ports on the new hub- I'd just like it to work with a 2018 UAS/UAQ radio and Apple Carplay. I plan to order a media hub harness from @Mpgrimm2

I saw the info around port # 5, but was confused by all of the choices, and non-Ram options.

Can someone let me know which part # will work with Apple Carplay? Thanks in advance.

For your 14ram I'd go with the Chrysler 200 hub

PN: 68328704AC (RAM)
> completely different shape vs 13-17 trucks; exact fit for 18+ JumpSeat with new 2018+ plastic tray insert <

or 5XG28DX9AC (Compass)
> fits with 1/4" gap; 1 USB port only <

or 68283703AA (Chrysler 200)
> must enlarge opening slightly; no gaps <

Thanks @Mpgrimm2 - I'll go with the 68283703AA (Chrysler 200) one. Do you want to update the email info I sent you for the wiring harness with this part #?

And to confirm- this will work with Apple Carplay?
