Another option is to remove the Lin Bus CBC 3 signal going to the camera (Tailgate connector or BCM (C5/E-45).
It will lose the camera guide lines but camera will output video as long as the key is in the run position/powered up (if I understand what you're trying to do correctly).

I might try pulling the LIN bus connection going to the camera, to verify if it's actually the camera that drops out. The button turns on the camera in forward or parked it just goes blue once I get rolling too fast.
What would be the ideal option would be a way to intercept the speed part LIN signal. I don't need the active guidelines so if that all I lose, probably worth gaining being able to use the camera whenever.
Does anyone know if the same video drop out occurs with the cargo cam in a '15? If it doesn't I bet you could parallel the camera video feed to those inputs and use the cargo cam button instead.
