2 HID Kits and Flashing Effect?

Hey 0212353,

I forgot to ask... When you install the micro projectors with the HID kit... how are you planning to flash your high beams in the morning during daylight ?

I'm asking this question because of the warm up time required for the HID to reach full brightness, and to avoid the wear and tear on the ballasts due to the flashing effect.

Thanks,
Sherif

I'm not a flasher. :D

BUT, if I only had the single kit - it would pull down the cutoff and BAM - HID highs. In the new setup, yeah - it would take a bit. But, I don't really use the highs. :D

if you can get the lights open, the rest is cake. :D

If you get a set of aftermarket "Depo" lights, they open EASILY........but the quality of the depos kinda stinks.

Paint and halos? Yeah........done those on a BUNCH of other lights. I'm in the design process of my truck's 3rd set of custom lights right now. :D

Want to see some pics of a few others I've done - check out my gallery - Retroshop.us

So do you know of anyone who has done this to a set of 2nd gen lights? I currently have a set of sport lights but don't think I could fit two hid's in there.

Looks easy! I'll still leave it to the professional (;

I'd get a new set of non sport lights. I think it would look better! This write up was for a 4th gen, but same ideas apply to the seconds. :D

I was reviewing your process and I noticed you called the part infront of the stock bulbs a diffuser. Do you think there would be an improvement in the stock headlight performance by removing the diffuser? Or does it also hold the bulb in place?

it directs the light into the reflector bowl. removing it would be bad.
