So I just bought a 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Hemi from a dealership in Thursday and am financing. Ever since I took it home, the knob shifter is flashing “d”, the dash is flashing “do not shift out of drive, service transmission”, and all my electronics are acting up (heater/heated seats/radio will go in and out, parking sensors turn themselves on and off, and the remote start does not work). We know it’s not the transmission or engine, and we got the battery, alternator, and starter tested at Advanced. We have also checked all the fuses. Turning it off and turning n works for a little bit, but then it starts acting up again. How do I fix this issue?
Not sure I understand why you just didn't take it back...unless you bought it uncertified/not worthy for the road. Like its a big ticket item, take it back !

Now you can see the difference between buying from a buy-here pay-here lot “as is” and buying from a dealer and getting a “certified” vehicle with nationwide warranty. You really need to check both when purchasing to see if the good deal is really a good deal. Of course there are non-dealers that offer varying warranties in between. Sometimes you can negotiate the warranty as part of the purchase price.
"Certified" is a damned joke designed to illicit a false sense of trust/security. Having spent many years in GM/Ford dealers, I personally witnessed so-called "Pre Certifications" done by techs who were NOT incentivized to perform the necessary steps to complete the process thoroughly. They changed the oil, replaced the sir filter, and shipped the car off, rubberstamped as "Certified".

This is why I TOTALLY endorse a pre-purchase inspection by an independent technician. A DECENT pre-inspection will cost 250-400 dollars, and will save THOUSANDS in finding out the car is a POS.
I've caught dealers around these parts trying to pull off a fast one by resetting the computer; as recently as 2 weeks ago on a 2016 VW CC. I see it all the time. I was able to counsel the customer as to the need for about 5 grand in needed repairs. Needless to say, the customer paid me my 200 dollars and returned the car to the dealer. That car had been "Certified".

Not certain I follow your meaning…. imo, here in Texas “As Is” …means if it has problems and you buy it….you also own the problems.

“As Is, No Warranty” is usually ON the sticker IN the window. I recently purchased a 180K miles used-Ram from the Bastrop, Tx Ford dealer (same folks also own the Ram dealership)….and when I wrote the check and signed the paperwork…it was a Specific and Separate Document I had to sign acknowledging that there was No Warranty, and sold “As Is”.

Dealers are pretty clear about that in Texas.

<edit> There is a Texas “Deceptive Trade Practices Act” which provides some protections if major defects are deliberately withheld, and there is a Federal requirement that any warranty must be in writing (such as if any OEM warranty still applies. If so, (OEM Warranty still applicable) the Tx Lemon Law may apply. But “extended warranties” are usually “service contracts” and will not apply under Lemon Law. https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/consumer-protection/lemon-law#:~:text=Your used vehicle may be,the defect; (Sample letter)
Yup, I know. But, trying it in court.... THAT'S DIFFERENT!
2 immediate exceptions to that so-called "contract" are a bent, cracked, improperly modified frame. A cracked engine block, ditto.

I know this isn't a 5th gen, but the service manual for 5th gens instructs to disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the battery. I've been told this can cause an issue if not done. Could this be an influence?

2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33-gallon fuel tank, 18” wheels. Build Date: 3 June 2018. Now at 146503 miles.

I don't have an answer for this. I was once told by an FCA mechanic to remove the IBS connector for a reset, and I've heard a myriad of other techniques, including doing nothing because it resets itself.
The IBS is on my long-term 'To be investigated' pile.

And, Alexey from AlfaOBD had no information on the 'battery ID #'s' when I emailed to ask.
There are a few threads on the IBS topic, like this one below.

Instead of texting or calling the dealer, show up at their lot!

Wow! When I was at Infinity there was a real tight window with mileage and year that would even be considered a candidate for true factory backed certification. I personally saw the certification sheet that the techs needed to inspect. Just about everything was replaced with new OEM parts and fluids for the mileage interval. Even down to the wiper blades. No BS Nissan ‘economy’ parts. This certification ran thousands of dollars and was backed nationwide. In the end, the certified vehicles had a warranty to 100K miles, some considered better than the initial factory warranty. Less the lemon law, of course

My point was not the poor battery so much as the dealer would not talk to him, unless there is more to the story.
He has never said what , who the dealer was , when I asked, seems to be the norm.

Regardless of whether it’s as is, frim a dealership or from a corner lot if wouldn’t have hurt to show up at their lot with the truck if you can. I get that it’s a used 9 year old truck but hell, is 9 years old a beater now? In my market I bet that would go for 25,000.00. Anyways it doesn’t hurt to go back, you never know, they might just do something for you, and they might not. But time is running out, or has already passed. Big difference between 4 days and 2 weeks of owning the truck

Here, even a vehicle sold as is, the vendor is obligated to disclose any material deficencies. Is it that way where you are.
I don't know the answer. I would hope but, I will have to do a little checking. I just checked on that; in Tennessee, if you sell a vehicle as is, you are not required to disclose problems that you know of. That's crazy.
