Hey guys, I’ve got a 2015 ram 5.7 hemi Laramie longhorn I need help with, intermittently the truck would throw a misfire code for cylinder 8 (0308) now it’s a constant code followed by P2323 ignition coil H secondary circuit malfunction.

Lemme tell y’all what I’ve done.

Bought new coil and plugs. No change. Swapped coil and plugs around. Now lost cylinder 2 with number 8 and only touched two to see which wires were supposed to have fire with a test light

Now I’m getting fire to all coils. But number 2 and 8 are still missing. I’m frustrated and at a loss of what to try next.

Misfire on cylinder 2 and 8 only codes are a P2305 and P2323 going through the harness now to look for a short somewhere.

They’re from Oreilly’s, whatever they’re lifetime warranty brand is.

Plugs are from dodge house, I went through how picky these are on plugs with my 2011. It’s at the shop now, I gave up. I’ll keep y’all

Old thread, I know. I’ve had the same issue for years. After at least 12 attempts the stealership could not repair properly. In my case it is an intermittent open in the wiring harness. The shop butchered my engine wiring harness to point that I will likely need to replace it.

Yessir. We butchered the harness, got a new pcm and another new pcm

Ordered a new wiring harness and it should be done tomorrow. It’s been at the stealership way too long. But same problem intermittent open on the wires to those coils so they never would fire.

Before I started throwing parts at it, I'd swap coils around to see if the problem follows the coil.

I got same issue with my 2017 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi. Changed coils, spark plugs, reset PCM, deleted codes. was getting #8 misfire and P2323. Got codes again, did whole process again. This time I checked all wiring to coil connectors and switched #8 coil to #2 coil vice versa. Ran my truck for 2 days, now I got P2323 code. Any suggestions what to do next??

Same with my coil at cylinder 2 pulled a P203 and P0302 code. Replaced the coil, spark plugs, and the pigtail wires... still get the codes. Took it to the dealer and they've had to for over a week now. I'm thinking it's the pins connecting to the pcm. Any luck on finding the cause?
