@Ktsull,
the yellow wire has been cut off where it comes out of the kit harness because it isn't used. It isn't connected to the purple wire.

Follow the purple wire and you will find the C5/E bcm connector and hopefully see it is connected to pin 45.

You may be OK , doesn't look spliced into the yellow , looks like they terminated the yellow by just cutting it short , need to verify the purple wire is either inserted into the BCM C-5 connector @ socket #45 or spliced into the orange & dark blue wire that's going to socket #45 of the C-5 connector .

☆☆ NOTE ☆☆ The C-5 connector is clearly labeled with a capital " E "

I can't tell which one it's plugged into and to be honest, I'm not quite sure how to unplug the plug from the bcm

Disconnect the neg terminal , release the lock on the C-5 connector " E" Pull it off the BCM look at the mounting side and verify the purple wire is in socket #45

How do you release the lock? (First time dealing with a "hardcore" electrical set up)

The connector has a cam over type lock , this pulls the connector in while installing it .
When removing it pull the connector straight back , when reinstalling ensure to line it up correctly and with your left hand push it in while simultaneously camming over the lock handle . This connector will cause zero power to the ignition circuit and much more if not fully seated . So once reinstalled and the neg terminal reattached turn the fob to ACC , if nothing happens , push on the connector firmly to seat it , I think you'll hear a click when fully seated . Remember , if you remove it for inspection make sure you first disconnect the neg terminal , lots of stuff goes through this connector and you don't want to go giggling it around and blow fuses .

Ok, so when removing it, you don't have to do anything special with the lighter color "handle" (for lack of a better term) lock. Just pull it straight out like you would any other wired plug.

With a single finger lift the handle by pulling back towards you , then pull the connector straight back.

Mine just popped right off

Awesome. Kind of a petty question here, but I assume removing the negative battery terminal will cause me to lose all of my radio presets and settings?

I have a long drive to work at 430 am tomorrow and would rather not have to reprogram my radio at 4 am.

here is an example of the lever action connector from the back of the radio. BCM should be similar (doesn't sound like it has a lock tab) ...

Just got back from the dealer asking them to install the Sales code, after I installed the backup cam myself. They assured me the code was there but camera was inoperable. I now have a blue screen when I'm in reverse (which I didn't have yesterday). They also told me there was an active fault now for loss of communication with camera module, which they said indicated the BCM cannot be configured for this option. I did the radio upgrade from RA 3 to RA 4 with nav, the radio works great now if I could just figure out this camera. I felt pretty confident about the wiring before visiting the dealer but now I'm hoping I made a wiring mistake. Any Ideas why it's not working? Has anyone else been told their BCM is not compatible?

You need to go to a diff dealer , you should have the blue screen .
I guess there could be some kind of fault not allowing the blue screen via an issue with the BCM ?

There's nothing you could wire improperly to prevent the blue screen to my knowledge Sir ?

Did they flash the XAC and authenticate it afterwords ?
Some dealer techs struggle with this .
Show them the Sales code flashing & authentication instructions on the back of your back up cam installation instructions , maybe this will help them .

Sorry I totally miss typed. I do have a blue screen when putt it in reverse. My bad. I'm trying to do too many things at once. So since I have the blue screen (and I didn't before today) then I assume the code was done properly. Sorry for the confusion. I'll change my post.
