Thanks guys for all your expertise. I don't think this project would be happening without your help. A few more questions I have:
-What and where do you recommend for lifters? I got a quote from Oriley's for like $1400 but that seems kind of ridiculous.. I certainly don't want chinesium but thats almost half of what a new engine costs.
-Is there a certain pattern that the head bolts need to be removed in? Similar to the rockers?
I removed the front support and bumper which is making it WAY easier to work in this time around. No more climbing into the engine bay
. Although disconnecting the flange going out of the manifold is enough to drive you to drink!
