what was the damage form the deal installing, im looking at long tube headers but am dreading doing the install

Won’t those hoses above the headers melt? Any way to protect them?

Headers will only melt if you get direct contact surprisingly. However it has warped my fender liner ‍

I have ARH. My brake lines are close but not touching. Plan to heat tape just to be safe

Here are some pics drivers side had to replace gaskets due to leak. Went with Percy ones. Quite nice not a single leak.

That stubby Lokar dipstick sucks,lol. You can get longer ones. They'll even custom build you one,just don't tell them it's for truck,for some reason Lokar goes into meltdown mode if they think you're putting it on a truck.I had them build me a custom 29" long version,as I got tired of trying to check the oil under the brake booster.If you want a custom one,tell them it's for a Challenger with a custom turbo set-up,as they'll build you whatever you want then,just don't tell them it's for a truck,lol.

I will probably end up that route I have long arms but definitely could be longer.

I'm not sure why they won't build ones for a truck,but a few guys have had issues getting a custom one,when they said it was for a truck,even though the 5.7 cars use the same basic dipstick set-up. I had no issues getting mine,as I told them I wanted it for a 5.7 Challenger with a turbo set-up,but if i'd said it was for a truck,they'd of probably said they don't have anything. Kurtis/Charonblk had a hellva time getting his about a month after i'd got mine,but he made the mistake of saying it was for a truck,which caused them to go into meltdown mode ,lol

Pick a facebook page you like,and i'll post a pic of it there.I can never get pics on here. Mines long enough that it bolts to the top of the manifold under one of the studs that holds the engine cover on,brings it right up front basically in the general vicinity of where the stock dipstick tube would be.

yup could never get them to build me one , I'll soon try with a different email address and try the Challenger turbo instead
