So I was curious how much it would be to lift the truck 4”, called the dealership for my 2018 and they said $3k for the kit and $1800 for labor. That sound right to you guys? I’m trying to stay within warranty. 4” on Mopar parts is $2600-$2800 so they’re marking it up there (dealership does have 15% off accessories coupon).

Just purchased bed extender that matches Mopar parts number and hoping to bring it to them for install so hoping that doesn’t cause any issues. Already told them I’m interested in paint matching fender flares which I’m sure they’re gonna mark way up.

My reason for lifting is for looks, as well as to possibly help the bottom from salt in the winter, and snow when driving through unplowed roads. My Sport seems to ride pretty low. I’ve read negative to raising the vehicle. I do have the lifetime warranty so maybe I shouldn’t even stress it?

That's definitely on the high end generally speaking. I'm sure a lift at the dealer costs much more and I really have no idea what their average prices are going for. I will tell you that labor charge is around $200 per hour, probably more like $220. Most lift shops charge $100 on average.

Labor charges vary by location and so do costs of lift kits, but on average you should be able to get that lift for low $2k. Maybe a little more since you have a 2018, not sure what those kits are going for.

Also, just about everyone is going to recommend you think real hard about wether that 4" lift will be the one, many have installed them and eventually wish they spent a few extra bucks on the 6"'

Lifts arent that expensive, even the high end lifts wouldnt cost you that much money. Id call around a few shops and get a better quote. In my area I can get a 6" lift, tires, alignment all installed for about $4000.

I agree with you all. I prob would go 6” vs 4”. And I’m calling around for quote on fenders. You guys were getting those prices from dealers or private auto shops? Trynna keep me warranty. Just got me bed extender in and can’t even install it on my own because you have to drill holes so I’m goin to bring it in to maintain warranty hah

Call around on painting your flares. I think mine were a little over $200 to paint and a 12 pack to install.

They said the flares were $500 I think so up to 800 done. Guess that’s not bad honestly. Better than voiding warranty or using the ****** ones I bought that don’t match or look good and plus if anything goes wrong it’s on them. Thanks!

When you get your lift are you going with new wheels, new offset? Throwing it out there to consider before making the flare purchase if it was not something you were already thinking about.

Honestly wheels prob stay the same for summer and plan to get better tires for winter and slap them on, def wider, but offset, maybe a little nothing crazy. Not sure why that could interfere with flares? I have read that lifting and new wheels and offset could need speedometer to be readjusted. Not sure if that’s still true.

The flares will protect the truck from sling. I have -44 offset and did not have flares initially. I have scratches down the side of my truck and am due for a paint correction. None of that was from offroading either. My current flares do not cover the tires completely, but I have not noticed any new scratches since. However, there is still enough sling to make a mess of my truck when it rains and until I get full coverage flares, I still have to refrain from driving fast in the sand where I usually like to play.

Yea see that’s what I want to avoid is paint damage so maybe won’t offset. Plan to get mud flaps too with the fender flares if they quote me good get both done. Of course have to get to flaps when raise prob. My Camaro was DESTROYED on the fenders from rock chips. Not making same mistake again. Wider wheels on vehicles lately most be the culprit.

Wow that’s crazy you’re right... I heard bad things about airlift but maybe it would be worth it vs raise..not sure....I just don’t wanna damage the underside of truck.

Dang!!! That's way outta line. In PA, a 4" susp. lift is around $1700, 6" $2000 and $850 to install. That's 10 hrs @$85 per. Sadly our Dodge/Ram dealers are always expensive,so much so that they lose tons of business because of it. My local dealer adds $10,000 to a 1500 with a rough country 4" suspension.lift and 35's on stock rims and puts it out on the lot with a strait face:emotions122:..,,INSANE

I need to double check but from what I quickly overlooked in the lifetime warranty pamphlet it said that you can have a 2” lift but anything more voided some warranty. Now if it’s done more than 2” through Mopar I’m sure it would still be straight but that was something very interesting I’ll have to look back on.

Thinking about getting fenders on soon and then debating if I need to get wider wheels or put a spacer in to bring the wheels out and look decent with the fenders..

It’s the tire size that will void your power train not the lift. You better get in writing what size tires they approve

Lift won’t void any warranty at all? Meaning I could take it to any Mom and pop shop get it lifted 6” and everything’s fully in tact lifetime and power train? But if I get tires that are too big they voids everything? Feel like it would be the other way around.

Well think about, why would lifting it effect your transmission?....it’s the load the larger tires put on it not the lift.

Do what you want but without consulting your dealer and get it in writing you could be setting yourself up
