Luyed LED in Reverse LIghts- FAIL! Bulb out message.

I've seen Luyed's praised here and elsewhere as compatible with the Canbus system on the Rams.

Unfortunately, I get the "Bulb Out" message with them. Getting it now with the original incans installed now too. Lucky me!

Both bulbs illuminate though.

Is there anyway to kick on the reverse lights on these things other than starting it up and popping it into reverse? I'm not wild about leaving it in reverse with the parking brake on.

Is there any other brand out there that folks have had success with on the Rams?

And no, I'm not interested in hacking up the wiring harness to get brighter reverse lights. It's not that important to me.

I'll try dropping the Luyeds in my wife's Fusion and see if they work there.

i had the same issue...i set mine to LED w alpha< and after the second try it stuck. also was confused w the inability to get them lit by myself...gave up and had my neighbor come over to put it in reverse

Maybe I need to finally get Alfa up and running. Is it selective with the LED setting, as in, the reverse lights only can be set to LED mode or is it the whole shebang?

Practically each bulb is selectable as LED

I put the Auxito brand bulbs in my reverse and cargo lights. No bulb out messages so far. These things are bright.

Turn key to run, put truck in reverse with parking brake on.
No need to start the truck.

I installed the Luyeds in the wife's Fusion and they light up with the light of a 1000 suns. No error messages either. The Fusion reverse lights have reflectors, so they really get with the intensity.

I will give the Auxitos a whirl.

Can you shut it off in reverse then?

The technology is so "advanced" that when you shutdown, the rig automagically shifts to park.

Sorry to hear that - I don't have a solution, I know I love the Luyed reverse lights in my '17, lights up the drive way like I have headlights back there! I replaced the cargo lights as well and they are great.

Hopefully you can find a brand that works with no errors.

Side note - wifes BMW hated all LED lights, any thing other than stock caused the computer to be seriously pissed off...

I' ve been use the ones below on my '14 for 2 years now. No special settings and the only bulb out message I've gotten was when one actually failed. And the company replaced it under warranty with no issues.

This is what I bought but my truck is throwing a fit! I even added a resister but still shows a parking light is out! Not sure what else to do next! I don't know if another brand would work or not, so I am lost! Any advice would be highly appreciated.
