Moe's Performance [email protected] - New 4th Gen N/A Record!!

Last night I made it out to the track to test the new Modern Muscle custom cam and ported heads. I knew the truck was running strong, but never expected to beat my previous record in a +1800DA. I ended up making 3 passes at 12.48 @ 109.50MPH, 12.55 @ 109.03MPH, and 12.56 @109.11MPH.

My 60' is not as strong as I'd like it to be, so we will be upgrading the tq converter to get us into the powerband of the new cam. For anyone that had doubts about making good power in a cammed 4th gen, I'd say Modern Muscle and Hemifever have it figured out.

I'm hoping to have the new converter in the truck in 2 weeks and get it back on the track in October to shoot for my 11.99 goal N/A.

Previous best was a 12.49 @ 106.13mph back in March. That was in a -1400DA. Yesterday's 12.48 pass was in +1800DA.

What were the changes to the setup from the 12.49 pass?

We installed a Modern Muscle custom grind cam and their ported heads. We also switched from 4.10s to 4.56s. The new mods are making a lot more power, but the combo also put us out of the range of the tq converter we were running. I have high hopes for how this truck will perform in the coming months as we get everything dialed in and the temps start to drop.

My 15" wheels aren't here yet, so I'm still running on the Hoosier slicks. I do have QA1's now, but until the converter allows me to get off the line quicker, they are not doing me any good over the Comp 90/10's that I had on previously.

I just removed the AC lines all together to clean things up under the hood. The AC hasn't worked in this truck since I bought it last year, so instead of messing with fixing it, I just pulled the lines.

If my truck will never do any better then this,it's staying stock,as this is definitely not worth voiding the warranty over.
I guess I'll just build another stang & use the truck to haul trash & dead deer.
