I hate this site. Really, I do.
Before this site, I would buy a truck, add some steps and flaps, then call it good and drive it for 15 years or so.

Then, I run into this site & like LSD, it opened my mind.
(NOTE the negative allegory there?)

Saw a post about a guy who bought an S&B intake.
I remembered I wanted an S&B intake, they look so cool!
Started looking at them, again.
Had one , in my cart, even.

Then, "Sanity" kicked in.

Yep. Sanity walked over, looked at my monitor and goes,
"Didn't you just spend $600 on that pick-up?"
"Thought, you said, you needed tires?"

OH My God, I have an Addiction.

I decided to start a list of all my "Must have Mods"

I do, I do have an Addiction.

Research Addictions and seems the first step is to acknowledgment.
Then Proclaiming it.

Hi, My name is sbarron and I too am a mod addict.

It all started so innocently with a spray in bed liner. Soon realized that the bedliner was really hard on the knees so I needed something to gently protect my soon-to-be geriatric joints...

  • Bed Rug

Holy ****, my bed rug is getting wet...

  • Truxedo Lo-Pro Tonneau

Speaking of getting old, I can't really hear the engine, this thing is kinda hard to get in and out of... and my night vision isn't quite what it used to be...

  • Magna flow cat-back dual exhaust
  • RBP side steps
  • Rigid Aux lighting

I also know they are voodoo, but damn, i LOVE that throaty sound...

  • K&N Intake

Now I can't see in the bed with the tonneau attached, I'm tired of the tailgate slamming down, and those puddle lights are kinda weak..

  • Truxedo bed lighting
  • Dee-Zee tailgate assist
  • Rigid approach lighting

and while I'm here, I might as well add the...

  • Flush mount Aux Reverse Lights

DAMMIT!!! I JUST DRUG MY STEPS ON SOMETHING FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!...

  • AMP Power Steps

"Hmmm, those tail lights would look pretty good on my truck and match the Outdoorsman two-tone" - Thanks for fueling the addiction xboxjunkie.

  • -Spyder tail lights

At least I have managed my addiction to this point and have been able to avoid the Bilsteins, (which always seem to lead to a lift - which obviously leads to new wheels and tires).

*As I tap a vein shopping for the Bilsteins...*

I am also plotting against myself with a more advanced, much more powerful lighting system. Ugh.

I think it would be a good idea for the health of these members above for Maddog to help break this addiction that ravages so many bank accounts and causes stress on their better-halves. To break this evil cycle of modding they all need a vacation from the forum in the form of a 3 month ban from this evil place of Ram modding worship.

No? Alright, carry on......

My name is SportyJames and I am experimenting with gateway MODS. These MODS will lead to a more serious MOD addiction.

HIDS Highs, Lows, Fogs
AMP Steps
Bilsteins 5100 and BFGs.
Hood Vent Lights.
No Exhaust on this truck (WIFE SAID NO)

Sometimes when I do a MOD, I wake up the next morning and cannot remember where I am.

I have an addiction as well. You can see the signature for the list. And I want a few more things....

Tuner, Exhaust, GPS/DVD Player, Map Lights (yes, I bought the Tradesman/Express cause I work for the government and don't get paid crap), Wheels and Tires.

That should make me happy for a while as that seems to be all I lack. BUTTTTTT...I have a wedding, honeymoon, and need to find a house by October so all my mods have been put on hold as the fiancé wants to ring my neck already!

That is all. Carry on.

I too will admit my addiction. Before this site, there were a few small things I wanted to do that I felt were necessary... Side steps, tonneau cover... Stuff like that. THEN comes RF. :D I'm just really glad there are so many great members on here who are willing to help out with questions. I seriously love this site! And the addiction I now have to modding my truck. You only live once, and you can't take money with you after this life is over, so why not?! :)

Defining MODS is a tricky issue. I think we can all agree that a Tonneau cover or Topper is not a "MOD" but a 2wd with a 10" lift sitting on 37s is a "MOD".

Also debatable is which one of those examples was actually worth doing.

First vehicle I added mods and did my own work on...so I'm guilty as charge.

My truck as a name, and she like it when I crawl underneath her and start touching things.

As long as she doesn't start leaking when you touch her.
