Now at a little over 5000 miles.
Problems starting to appear.
Passenger door speaker sound blown (very garbled).
While washing the truck, I noticed the rear bumper felt loose (east to move up and down).
Checked underneath, found the lower passenger side nut at the end of the threads (two hand turns and it came off).
The upper was very loose.
Driver side lower nut was very loose, upper was tight. WTF!
I no longer have any confidence in the quality of this vehicle.

Have you prepared a detailed account of occurrence's and brought it to the attention of your selling dealership yet?

I would also leave everything as found so the selling dealership can see it and take pictures to send up the chain.

I would suggest: You have a metric/sae socket deep well set: Go over the entire ride, and make all is OK, tightened up, etc.,.

Or, the OP could ask the original stealership if they would care to complete another dealer prep session and save their future costs for parts that are damaged or have fallen off because of their negligence.

Maybe, use another word for negligence when you're offering the arrangement.

Does that really matter? Nothing should be falling off any new vehicle with only 5k miles on it
The answer to yer reply, IMHO is yes, why I asked.

Hard to give any "advice" or internet guessnosis without knowing what vehicle a person has. Sure things should not fall off, for all we know he could have gotten a 2024 leftover. Just helps to know. Further, since my son has a leased 2025 Biggyhorn helps me to let him know anything that may affect him also.

Even if it was a 24 leftover it's still new just a year older. Regardless, the truck has only 5k miles on it so the only "internet guessnosis" to give would be to take it back to the purchasing dealer and tell them what's going on and let them take care of it. After all, that is precisely what the warranty is for. As far as complaining on the internet about his dissatisfaction with the quality is concerned, I totally get that part.

Not someone trying to steal the bumper ? I mean I get the speaker. My truck had 1 speaker that the wires were backwards on when it was new. That was 04. But the bumper , maybe someone was trying to get the tailgate , or bumper. I’ve seen a wrecker Steal a truck , that was found 2 weeks later with the front clip gone & nothing else. (When asked the driver said it was a repo.it was paid off.). I also saw 10 trucks on the front line at a dealer that they all the spare tires were stolen from. Just a thought.

I’ll pass on my $0.02 not just to the OP of this thread but to anyone who’s still driving under warranty. Get to know a service advisor at your dealership.

I’ve got the personal cell number of the advisor I’ve developed a relationship with and insist on using whenever I go in for something. I’ve called him from out of state to let him know about an issue developing. He made an appointment to get me in as soon as I arrived back in town. Then told me if I the issue got worse to call him and he’d see if he could get me in to a dealer closer to my location. He’s called me after hours to follow up on a voicemail when he was too busy to answer when I called. He’s even called me on his days off to follow up.

In the OP’s particular case, I would have called my service advisor immediately upon finding the loose bolts to alert him of the problem. I guarantee he would have asked if I felt comfortable driving it in or should he send a tow truck?

The service advisor is more important to me than any other aspect of the dealer I do business with. If you don’t have a good working relationship with one, well then ______? You fill in the blank.

Was someone interrupted trying to steal the bumper? It happens. Bumpers and tailgates.

Yep. Great idea.
I wrote service at three different dealerships . When I first started, one "Service Advisor" took a liking to me, taught me the ropes. I will always remember him telling me: "Remember, we have the power of the pen". Taught what could easily be written off, how to argue a point to the Service Manager if it became necessary. There was a little know "Z Time" account where we could charge repairs to promote good customer relations and still pay the mechanic (who you also want on your side).

I did bring it to the dealer. I had to tighten the bolts, I was going on a road trip so I had no choice. Had the dealer inspect to make sure they were still tight.
