So Syn the main oil guy around here likes Mso2, it is powdered moly in suspension, I would only put 1/2 of the can in myself, this is probably the most popular additive amoungst oil guys. This might be the best shot at an additive helping, but unfortunately it didn't help mine. It is possible I didn't give ot long enough to plate. There also is a organic moly treat Lube Guards bio tech engine treatment, but someone I respect tried this and it didn't help their tick, but the science behind it is solid. Also, you can try any zinc breakin additive, those will knock down sharp edges. If you are considering trying something else let me know via pm and I can give an opinion. If by chance you want to try something like lucas, I would only do this if I planned on changing the oil very soon, and I would only try the synthetic one, and I wouldn't expect much from it. Is worth a shot, maybe kinda sorta is the best answer I could give. But I know exactly what you are going through, it is frustrating as hell.

Well guys, did another start this morning and the tick seemed to appear as the truck warmed up. Its faint, but im going to keep and eye on it. If it gets any worse it will be headed to the dealer. Its deffinately and internal tick for sure, sounds like the top end too

Hi Freed127,

If you decide to visit your local dealership I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!
