So, I have a 2015 2500 Cummins and I am getting a NOX code. BUT, at the same time, my driver's window stops going up automatically with the switch. I took it to a dealership and the service writer pulled the codes. She told me that the code was due to a short in the window wiring, NOT because of a faulty NOX sensor.
I want to know if anyone else has heard of this, and if so, what is the fix? I already replaced the switch console at the tune of $150, but the code comes back, and the window still malfunctions with the code.
I don't want to risk damage to my engine, but I also don't want to spend unnecessary money for something that will not resolve the problem.

As far as the window control is concerned try this:

1. Press the Down side of the button and hold it to a count of 5 after the window bottoms out.

2. Press the Up side of the button and hold it to a count of 5 after the window fully closes.

Repeat those processes two more times.

As far as the NOX code goes, and I assume that is the one that returned, have them fix it.

But do the window thing first and let us know how it goes.

Your procedure worked, thanks! I will order the NOX sensor tomorrow. Thanks again for the tip.
