More of an issue with GDI engines that don't inject PEA-treated gas at the intake valve stem. Add a turbo, and you gotta clean the compressor blades too, from the PCV gouk misting on it.

CRC Intake Valve Cleaner is a good one for this - if you want to clean your piston crown you could try it. Just be sure to spray in AFTER the MAP sensor!!!
The MAP sensor is in the back of the manifold, so...

That's odd - for the 6.4L it's in the hose in front of the throttle body out front. But I'd still have to find a port downstream to inject.

Anyway, I don't worry about it on a SPFI engine, I just spike the gas.

The map sensor is in the manifold, the intake air temp sensor is in the hose. There is no MAF sensor.

Under $13/bottle with free shipping over $50 @ https://redlineoildirect.com/si-1-complete-fuel-system-cleaner/

I just made an order so we will see if it's a legit site.
I don’t know about that. Looks like a scam website. And here is the real redline website selling directly: $17/bottle

The mass air flow sensor yes, but a MAP sensor is always in the manifold. MAF sensor measure air flow across an element to determine how much oxygen is being ingested by the motor. The MAP sensor measures pressure inside the manifold, plus the intake air temp to determine how much oxygen is being ingested by the motor. The sensor on the intake tube is a temp sensor to measure the charge temperature of air going into the motor. Most MAF (Mass air flow sensor) have an integrated temperature sensor. MAP (manifold absolute pressure) is just a different way of doing the same thing

FYI

I called Redline Oil and they told me Redline Oil Direct dot com does not related to Redline oil. And they wouldn’t recommended to buy anything from them. However, redline oil is highly recommended to order their products from Bulk55 when I asked about it.
holy smoke man, great info. 131 case 13 shipping. If you follow Amazon when they run sales, about the same price all year I paid around 11 per bottle on Amazon sales.

Earlier this was for a 6 pack, and as posted they seam to give it away on 4 packs a few times a year...

Order Summary

  • Item(s) Subtotal:
    $75.23
  • Shipping & Handling:
    $0.00
  • Total before tax:
    $75.23
  • Estimated tax to be collected:
    $6.96
  • Grand Total:
    $82.19

Since then we recently seen a price increase, so we might not see Amazon in the 11 per bottle range again, time will tell. Redline also solves some problems with our hemi's and hemi tick, and that bulk55 sells redline 5w30 on the cheap as well, under 14 bucks per quart and they post well over 100 cases in stock. They sell the gallons at old pricing as well 55 bucks when you buy a case. The wild card will be shipping.

Thanks for participating this has been a big help.

I am about to jump on this ship, seems while my intake manifold was leaking I am still consuming oil...The intake of the heads was coated in oil so I can only imagine what my pistons look like. I did run a heavy concentrated does of B12 in the fuel right after and now (2) tank later I am running a Gum-out Regain

Going to run a bottle of SL-1 and do a can of the BG EPR before my next oil change to see if that help with my oil consumption.

I will also be changing over from PUP to Valvoline R&P.

Like I said, we will find out. Seems like a legit company, they have a few companies listed at the address.

From my 'for what it's worth' department, SL-1 says to use the whole bottle for 21 gallons of gas, and testing plus bore scope pics show the product works better and better the higher concentration you use. So I add 2 full bottles to a nearly empty tank, and then fill the tank.
I also have ready access to 90 octane ethanol-free gas and I use that exclusively in everything.
I have no idea what results can be seen by combining additives. Common sense tells me it shouldn't hurt, and experience (as in OUCH) reminds me my common sense can be very wrong.
Good luck with whichever way you go, and please come back and tell us what you think. ;)

P.S. A combination of SL-1 and Restore & Protect should do wonders for your Hemi, and it might be a strategy to employ over time rather than once.

Redline told Jim it's legit = then its legit.

Bulk55 is a legit B2B wholesale distributor. They operate primarily as a commercial supplier and a third-party logistics (3PL) provider for industrial, automotive, and fleet products. They stock brands like Loctite, Rust-Oleum, and Red Line Oil, and they are authorized to serve commercial customers. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
A few quick facts about the company:
  • Background: They are a third-generation, family-owned business originally deeply rooted in the high-performance racing industry. [1]
  • Operations & Fulfillment: They operate out of multiple distribution centers, including a major 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a facility in Brimfield, Illinois. [1, 2]
  • Shipping & Delivery: Because of their regional hubs, they offer rapid (often 1 to 2-day) delivery timelines to western states like California, as well as pallet, LTL, and liftgate deliveries. [1, 2]
  • B2B Focus: They cater heavily to commercial clients and government/emergency services, and they offer standard NET payment terms for approved business accounts. [1, 2]
Because they are focused on commercial and wholesale distribution, their order minimums or shipping methods (like LTL freight for pallets) are often tailored specifically for business and professional users rather than casual retail consumers

I just did this this past weekend. Due to being stupid, I hadn't driven my truck a quite awhile. Just got in the habit of driving the car. A long habit. So with very old gas in the trucks tank I have been trying to drive it around burn it down. All my drives have been like a nun driving, very very easy and mellow. I called Redline 2 weeks ago asking about SI-1 and told them my status and plan going forward, SI-1 in low tank with premium gas filled. They said the exact thing you did, use 2 bottles and I should be golden.
Took it for a long drive to get it down more. Since as long as I have been driving I have always 'topped up' my gas. I never let my tank even get to half, just always had it full. That has been my way. Feels cheaper when your doing $20 or $30 bucks here and there instead of $150. And your tanks always full and the fuel pump is kept nicely cooled.
Anyway, cause I'm not used to the gas guage low, it looked pretty low to me. So dumped the 2 bottles of RL and filled up with Sunoco 90 ethanol free almost 25 gallons. Guess I coulda driven the tank down more, but whatever.
Plan is to drive this tank down low again to let the RL work, and fill up again with Shell gold (top tier gas around here) and another bottle of SI-1. Figure it should help clean it out.

The closest Shell to me is 25 miles one-way and I drive past about a hundred stations.

I get conveience store gas, 90 octane, ethanol-free, and Top Tier. I do the double-dose of Si-1 at least once between OCI, usually twice. The amazing thing is I can't tell the engine is running when warm. Smooth and quiet.
126k miles, so far, so good.

On the Canadian side, top tier gas is brand specific by region, in the Ottawa and surrounding area it's mostly Shell or Costco. Other stations are under Canada's standards, but don't have the 'top tier' designation. I was over on the US side on the weekend, where there are ALOT more top tiered stations. I had intended to drive back across and fill up with Shell Gold, but just before I pulled into a Sunoco and saw the bronze and silver were "up to 10% ethanol" and gold (90) was ethanol free. Well, seeing how Canadian gov hates it's population driving happy, ethanol free is hard to find here. I believe there is one - that is '1' station in the entire city with some ethanol free at a pump. I did say 1. For the entire city. Anyway, I saw 90 at the pump and it looked like I was low enough, so I sidelined the Shell idea and filled up there. I'll be here for the next fill up so then I'll fill with Shell gold. And not alot of Shells around here either, have to kind of go out of your way. At least not a far drive, 20 minutes.
