I believe redline S1 is more potent by using 1 or 2 bottles per tank. Some people online is using 1/3 of a bottle per tank but it doesn’t do much in term of clean carbon buildup.

I wish that I could still see tiny characters like that, but those days are long gone.

What is the definition of the expression 20 - <40?

Amsoil's pi SDS is 25<50 Alcohols, C12-15 Propoxylated, Aminated which is PEA.

Amsoil PI is 12th ounce bottle and Redline is 16 ounces bottle. We don't really know what the carrier oils are and how they effect PEA on the surface, obviously as tested with 5 out of 5 boroscopes the redline will melt old carbon. I can assume Amsoil pi would be similar, but no data compared to what we know si-1. Anyone wanting to hunt pi data feel free to post it. I don't care about brand, just what gives us results. Pricing very similar between both around 15 bucks, since redline is on open market sometimes less sometimes more.

RP max cleaner

It is interesting, only 5-15% PEA but 20 ounces. Just Keep other companies honest. My guess 2 of this would at least match a bottle of si-1.

Math, assume lowest SDS stated quantity.

5% 20 ounce = 1 ounce pea RP max clean

20% 15 ounces = 3 ounce PEA si-1

25% 12 ounces = 3 ounce PEA pi

Assume max treat rate

15% 20 ounce = 3 ounce PEA RP max clean

40% x 15 ounces = 6 ounces PEA si-1

50% x 12 = 6 ounces PEA pi

So if redline and amsoil pi add minimum % and RP adds maximum, RP would have same PEA treat rate. As you see on paper Amsoil pi = redline si-1 on reported range of PEA. My guess at a minimum redline adds close to the max, its the only thing that makes sense due to results.

Jim's gas tank is probably smaller then ours, maybe by a lot. So start thinking more on treat rates. We are talking like 1/4 ounce of PEA per gallon for Rams one bottle si-1 or Amsoil pi, and that is assuming the larger % on SDS. We should start thinking about this, perhaps the best time to add a bottle is at 1/2 tank? We also have to be frank about what to expect. Gas burns violently, the simple fact we get cleaning around the rings more and piston tops less is a great feature considering it could have been the other way around. It is most important to clean the rings. I'm not sure chasing like new piston tops should be the goal. The juice might not be worth the squeeze on that endeavor.

For you RAM HEMI try 2 bottles of S1. I had tried 2 bottles on my 19 gallon tank and stop doing that because i think i was wasting S1. For now i am sticking with 1 bottle per empty tank. I am going to order a case of 12 pack from Bulk55 soon.

Question:
Shell 89 + one bottle of S1
or
Shell 93 Nitro + one bottle of S1

Which option will keep the combustion chamber and valves as clean?

My 2011 Acura MDX manual said to fill with the highest octane.

I'm not sure but I can safely say you have the right brand, Shell tops every test even the maker of techron. I'd say run what ever its tuned for. My truck has a monster difference between 87 and 91 and it is tuned for 89. Have you ever noticed any difference between the two and how engine runs?

For some reason Amazon US has the 4 pack in a crazy up and down pricing. I have had it in my cart since I bought some earlier in the year. Now it is 56 for 4 but if you add to your cart it is a matter of time before that or the 6 pack is on great sale. It is very Volatile pricing but if you follow it thanks to the way Amazon updates prices in your cart, you will get a deal on it. Per unit cost might end up like bulk 55, but gives you the option to buy less. But with all of the info out there, this is the one product imo everyone needs, so bulk 55 and get a case is the way to go. Ends with in the almost 13 dollar range before tax.

I've been using a single bottle every spring for a few years with 91 Octane. Si-1 sells for about $28 up here and is rarely available on sale.

My butt dyno finds this extremely productive. I have yet to scope the results.

My truck feels like a rocket every spring and I get hooked on using 91 for a while.

With the horrendous gas prices this year, I stretched out the process a bit longer.

I ran the tank down to about 5 gallons, add a single bottle of Si-1, run that down to fumes, and add another 5 gallons.

I repeat this 5 gallon addition and run the tank down several times. Then fill with 91.

I'm planning for an OCI next week.

That is pricey. Look at GBP, they sell SI-1 for $18.

Yes, they have a great price, but their shipping charge kills the deal for me.

If I buy a 3-year supply (3 jugs), the shipping charge is $18.
Net savings over paying full price at Amazon.ca is about $4/year, but I have to invest in a 3-year supply.

I use 1 jug of Si-1/year.
I've bought it on sale at Amazon.ca once in a while.
Once from a store in Ogdensburg, NY, but usually pay full price from Amazon.ca, which includes free shipping.

As mentioned previously on this thread bulk55 sells S1 a lot cheaper however, they only sell a case of 12 packs plus $24 shipping. $155/12=$12.92 (included shipping)

Again, a great deal if I want to invest in a 12-year supply, but that doesn't seem like a prudent investment plan.

Advance Auto Parts on Paterson Street used to have a good price, then that outlet stopped stocking Si-1 for some odd reason. One of the sales guys I talked with was very unhappy about that.

They now show it as available at Ogdensburg in 30 minutes, but the price isn't that great anymore.
$18 US/jug.
