Hey guys I just got into a new (to me) 2002 dodge ram with the 4.7L engine, shes a bit of a fixer upper, but I'll be using it for work this summer, so its gonna have to be running good and be able to work in the mud etc. I got it running the other day, but to move it from its spot its been sitting in for the last 2 or 3 years, I had to have another truck pull me out (was sorta snowed in also). Now I was also trying to get it out of the spot on its own initially and even while being towed, was giving it throttle, however only one wheel is spinning each time. This brings me to my first question/problem I would like to deal with. Is there an issue with the diff if its doing this? Or is this normal, if so is there any easy upgrades I can do to take the diff apart and make it a non slip or limited slip? I'm a journeyman technician up in Canada however Ive always been a car guy and worked mostly on Volkswagens so the dodge and truck world are a little new to me. I don't know much about the specs on this truck or other models that maybe came with upgraded diffs? Im wondering if theres ways to modify my stock one without costing too much (truck is purely for work so don't want to go all out spending money on it, shes not a looker either). Or can I upgrade to another diff from a different trim model, maybe one that came with the 5.7L? Anyways Ill be making some other posts in the future about a bunch of other random issues and things I'll be wanting to tackle on this beast. Thanks for all the help!

First, contact Chrysler and get your build sheet, I’m not sure of the web site but I know it’s on this forum definitely, search build sheet. As for the one wheel peel, sounds like you don’t have limited/anti slip but maybe you do and the clutch packs are shot.
