You should have a 3 yr/36k bumper to bumper warranty on the truck if you are the original owner.

Emission systems components may go beyond that time frame/mileage restriction.

Not the original owner. Bought used. So warranty is non transferable? Wow

I was always under the understanding that basic warranty transfers. always see used cars for sale advertising that it still has some of the original warranty left. I would take it to a dealer and ask about the warranty

Simple answer, yes it is covered under the 3 year 36000 mile warranty.

Just depends on the terms of the sale. If they wrote it "As Is, No Warranty" then you might have a hard time getting it fixed under warranty.

I'd call the dealer in your area to clarify what warranty you may still have.

Yea going to call tomorrow. If worse comes to worse it’s a simple fix and 60 dollar part. If my research is right. Lol

The 3yr/36,000mi bumper to bumper warranty, and the 5yr/xx,000mi powertrain warranty from the manufacturer stays with the truck...no matter how many owners it’s had.

You may have misunderstood them. You won’t pay the diagnostic fee if it’s under warranty. Every time I go in for warranty work, there is always a $130 diagnostic fee on the paperwork I sign before they begin work. Never had to pay it.

P0133 just means that the sensor is not switching enough, not that it is bad. Just replacing the sensor may fix it or may not. I had hell getting the sensors on my Camaro to work without P0133 after I installed long tube headers. Another car of mine almost annually threw P0133 codes that were due to the idle air control valve malfunctioning. I have also seen them set the code due to some really bad gas and also because a squirrel chewed on the wiring harness.

The dealer is going to do the diagnostic to determine why it is failing and if found to be a mod or varmint thinking your wires taste good they will charge for it, that is why you have to agree to pay for it first.

yea i dont have any mods other than an aem filter and borla xs with magnaflow tip.. i took the pedal commander off , so they wont know about that.. as for the vermin.. unlikely since she is garage kept when not in use... rarely parked in public long enough for them to get chewed on.. well see..

Yeah, odds are you have a failing heater in the O2 sensor but you never know. I was just giving some reasons why it might not necessarily be the sensor that is broken.

Yeah, I'm probably going to miss the simplicity of my old F-250. Back to emissions controls, electronic gizmos and radios that complain about problems with the vehicle phone.

Most manufactured items follow a bathtub curve for failure rates. Most high failure rates are going to happen either early in it's life if a manufacturing defect or much longer towards the end when the part is well used up.

Nobody want to be "that guy" when it happens early, but it is just your turn in the barrel.
