P0481 Error - Elusive Cooling Fan Relay 2 Location

Where is this relay located on a 2016 Ram 1500 with a 5.7? Thanks!

It has been suggested that it is in the power distribution center F01. F01 is position is empty.

It has been suggested that it is near the horn. Nope, just the horn there. No relay.

Underneath the power distribution center? Not literally and I did not see any obvious relay in the area...

Perhaps that meant - under the fuse board in the power distribution center... A swing and a miss as far as I can tell.

Between the grill and the radiator??? Just air!

I did not and was not planning to. As far as I know it has never been populated. Should I install one?

I would install a relay. That is the correct location for the high speed relay, and it’s missing.

You’d be surprised. A few times I’ve worked on vehicles for a CEL or whatever, only to find a missing fuse.

Just a few months ago I worked on a 3500 that was towed in for a no start. Customer said he was driving and it just shut off and wouldn’t start. I found the fuel pump fuse was missing. Put a fuse in it and good to go.

Pretty weird, in the last pic right where the electrical connection is there should be a RAD fan relay... did you ever figure this out?
