Hey guys looking to haul some gravel for a french drain this week. I think i remember seeing around 3200 lbs for payload for a 2500 cc short box . Does that seem about right. And if anyone has haul gravel how much does that represent on the bed. Like half full.

Better check the door sticker for your actual payload rating. They seem to vary quite a bit depending on options etc.

My CC 2500 is around 3100lbs

The yellow-ish sticker with your max cargo rating including passengers should be just under the door jamb on the cab. I have a pretty loaded up rc (well loaded for a 2 door lol) and my sticker says 3418. I would say 1 ton of standard gravel will pretty well fill the bed though.

I picked up some 57 stone at the local quarry one scoop was right at 8000 pounds. Gravel does terrible things to bed liner borrow a trailer if you can.

I would but i have a narrow driveway no dual wheel dump will fit up it.

Put a piece of plywood down first. It will protect your bed. A yrd of stone/gravel will weigh around 2500-3000#.

Well got my first 2 loads today. 3010 one load. 3560 other truck did well only 2 mile hual. Getting rest on Saturday. I try to post a pic later but i was really impressed on how much it didnt sag

They are pretty impressive, I had a small pallet of concrete estimated around 3k on mine and while it squatted a little, you hardly felt it in the drivers seat

No gravel in the bed of a PICK UP. I'm going to start revoking man cards here in a minute.

I use to throw down a tarp on my old truck when I hauled gravel because it was a PITA when it got stuck under the 5th wheel rails. A piece of plywood couldn't hurt I suppose.
