Please help 2006 dodge ram 1500

My grandfather passed away in January and this was his vehicle, I have it now and this is hanging under the truck the piece that broke was in the driveway is this the fuel pump? Does it just need clamped back up? Please help

That is your fuel tank strap, thats rusted apart . There was a recall issued for it around 2014 or so. It was for the part on the frame that would hold water then rust away ,letting the strap pull out . These straps are available. I would fix this issue immediately, even a ratchet strap would help till you locate the correct piece.
