After having a mystery leak with the new calipers I put on Summit Racing had powerstop send me a new set, well after waiting over a month they finally showed up on my doorstep yesterday... Took them over a month to send them.... I'm guessing they don't have enough backstock to provide a customer base. I'm not irate or pissed just don't think I'll be doing business with Powerstop ever again.
Their caliper rebuild aside from the leak seems to not be too bad, but their customer service sucks imo

With anything these days it's hard to find good customer service. You probably over payed too, I was looking at doing bigger brakes, but it's going to run close to 1K for what I want.

Actually, that was the only reason why I went with them, they were actually within the same price +/-$5-10bucks of OEM replacements from Autozone.

They weren't a big brake kit just "upgraded" OEM and powdercoated. the product itself isn't that bad.

And true on the customer service. Its a thing of the past, cause there is another sucker behind the next corner so they don't care. Summit Racing I have to say was pretty good. I've ******* about them in the past but on this they were right on. they payed for the new ones. Now I just have to send back the old ones to Summit since Powerstop didn't insert the proper return slip from Summit that was to be provided per Summit... Too many hoops to jump through.

I will be upgrading to a big brake kit once I work it into next years budget.

I guess I can understand if the price was a minimal difference, but now you know that product and CS is **** and not to buy from them again. I also agree with the last poster in the fact that over a month for something like that is ridiculous and it shouldn't have taken that long. It suck's that we can't get quality in product or customer service anymore and it make all the old timers from the way back in the day roll in their graves because of the screwing over that's being done and they worked their ass off to make good stuff and were friendly. Just tell all those hack job companies:flipthebird:

Oh trust me I do. I try to give companies a chance for my business and when they don't get it due to issues like this they get the :flipthebird:.
When I looked into these I told the GF I'll give them a try but I have a bad feeling this is going to be a huge hassle. I'm glad i didn't order their rotors too. after talking to a couple different parts suppliers, they all said the same thing where they send out rotors that are not true and have a "wobble" to them. Now that part is what I'm told so I don't know... but I know enough from my experience that I wont buy any to find out.

At Times I think of starting my own shop like a buddy and I talk about all the time but never follow through on... mostly to give better customer service.. when I'm in a position to put customer service over profit (yes I know how business works) I'll open a shop as a hobby... maybe.
So hard to find good work or customer service... Its sad

3 chances is a good rule... just depends on how bad they screw the pooch.

There are business I wont do business with anymore just cause of spite.
But with food and stuff i like I give it 3 bad meals and I won't go back. 3 bad service I'll not go back for awhile and then try it again once the new staff turn over is there...

But as for the brakes I think I'll put the second batch on, keep my originals and rebuild them myself and do all the "upgrades" they do, coat them and keep them for spares till I eventually do a upgrade on rotor size.
I'm at least happy with how it stops now with the vented rotors... Plus I got a little warning from the red/blues yesterday so gotta take it a little easy on the truck... expensive tickets aren't in my budget with baby and car and house and shop projects
