So tired of this truck. has to go back to the dealer again. brakes are noisy[ already been in twice, pads replaced, rotors turned, new calipers], parking sensor is still going off when pulling up behind a car at a light( already had sensor replaced, harness behind bumper) this will be like the 4th time in for this, yesterday I was unable to get my tailgate open, left side speakers randomly stop working, sometimes when starting it sounds like starter stays engaged [a bad rattle sound] and smokes out the tailpipe, fuel mileage seems awful, what a shame to spend all this money on a truck I cant depend on. going back to the dealer again this week. 10k miles . probably will take a bath on it to trade it in. and then on what?

Yeah, I agree with the lemon law thing. I believe it varies a lot by state so be sure your research is specific to your area. If I remember right most laws have to do with a certain number of trips to the dealer for a single issue or a certain number collectively for different problems. Reading on forums in the past, people seem to get the dealer's attention once they start talking Lemon Law.

This seems particularly interesting. How close are you getting to the vehicle ahead of you?

Sounds like you got a bad one. Lemon law it, why take a financial beating, LL costs you nothing and you'll be made whole.

Bite the bullet and move on and take your chance on something else.

Read up on the Michigan lemon law. You may or may not have something that meets the requirements.

If I have something I'm not happy owning, I broom it and get a replacement. I don't lose much sleep over it.

Do this ^...don’t lose money on this bad truck. Most trucks are great, this is a lemon...it happens.

Is the truck equipped with any of the newer cruise control features? Adaptive, I think it's called. Your description suggests that the sensors are working fine, but at a range that is not normal for parking, but might be for some other function.

Always a higher risk with the first year of production for a new model. Similar problems with Ford and Chevy pickups. An advantage of buying a used truck is that the prior owner has invested their time with visits to the dealer getting the bugs worked out.

Want the most trouble free pickup buy a Tundra. The Toyota lacks a lot of the bells and whistles of the Ram but you will not be making anywhere near as many trips to the dealer. I read of many Jeep Grand Cherokee owners making a great many trips to the dealers with their vehicles and although I like the vehicles overall I was not willing to spend time at the dealers and so bought a Chevy Traverse in 2018 instead.

I decided to pass on buying a 2019 truck and will evaluate the situation with the 2020 model year for Ram and Toyota (Ford and Chevy are not in the running).

Man, I am glad I bought a new 2018 instead of the 2019 model. I haven't had any issues with the 18.
