Raceland Cutout leaking

Ok, so I have had my cutout on for a few months, always noticed a slight leak to it, so about 2 weeks ago I got under it and checked to see where it was coming from - its coming from the butterfly itself. So, I called Raceland, got a new one sent to me. (AWESOME Customer Service!!)

Got the new one Tuesday, been busy with headlights so I didn't get to install it until today. Same problem. I can hold my hand up behind the opening and feel the exhaust gas pulsating out. I know I have asked before, but is this normal? I would think not, but with 2 of them and the same problem..........I'm starting to think it is.

I'll hand it to Raceland though, I called them at 2PM and it was shipped that day, had it fast! I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, even if they do leak! Customer service goes a LONG way in my book!

IT HAS TO LEAK I would assume , the butterfly has to move lol .. if it were a tight fit it would not open and close ...lol

I dont even have one but this makes since ...dont it ?

Hmm I don't think mine leaks. I have never really checked.

Its not horrible, just enough to drive me a little nuts..........being the perfectionist that I am.

There are ways around that. One would think. LOL

Hey jj did your cutout have a piece welded on to stop the cutout from opening the wrong way? The one I just got has one.

No issues with mine leaking, thing you gotta watchout for is the carbon build up on them if it gets to much gunked up they will all do it.
