I have a MY15 2015 Ra4 VP4-NA and received the attached message three times on 23 Oct 19. The previous two times, it was on the screen and flashed off so quickly I couldn't read it while driving. This one happened while I was at a stop light, so I was able to get a picture of the message before it disappeared.

I really wish they would just push a message that an update is available and an option to download it when it was convenient. Better yet is the "download to USB stick" option.

Just an FYI it looks like a lot (maybe even all) of the 17.43.01 have been pulled from download.

Hopefully this means they will be replacing it with something newer (i.e. 18.x)

I just tried the site. I dropped my VIN in the box and got all the way to where it wanted to know where to save the 17.43.01 file.

MY15 and MY16 are still up there. MY13, 14 and 17 disappeared.

I've been trying for 2 days now to get the OTA update. No luck so far. I contacted Uconnect and they guided me thru "troubleshooting" steps and then I was told to wait 24 hrs and re-check. I did that today and the "Setting"/System info/" reads the same Uconnect version as before. 17.11.04. I called back, as instructed. Uconnect wanted me to go thru' the same steps I did yesterday, but I don't have the pop up screen so I can perform those same "troubleshooting" steps. He emailed me the steps so when I do have the pop us screen I can do them again. Upon receiving & reading the steps it says "these steps are to remove the pop up if it "persists". I don't know if it has a thing to do with the upgrade or just getting the pop up msg to go away. Anyone out there know what to do?

Just an FYI, I got a popup saying there was a new OTA update after my v18.43.01. But so far, after clicking OK, nothing has changed.

My truck is in for warranty work, so I don't have it with me.

I've seen the update notification a few times lately, haven't been prompted to schedule the update.
I've let mine lag behind, currently at 16.23.21. The radio and cameras still work so I'm OK with that.
Checked driveuconnect.com today and it tells me my vehicle is up to date.
I guess that's b/c they've pulled the files that could be downloaded.

Any device that uses the Qualcomm MDM6600 chipset will be at risk, it looks like.

Now, finding an actual list that uses them is not trivial. Add to the fact that there are some all-in-one chips that have the MDM6600 on board, not explicitly called out in documentation.

The Sierra Wireless cards in our head units are marketed by Sierra Wireless but also have the Qualcomm chip on board for GPS assistance.

Also note, just having the MDM6600 chip does NOT necessarily means you need to update by November 3....the November 3 thing is only for devices that use some internal offset for GPS week number. Our head units, of course, DO use an internal offset, which is why November 3 is important to us.

Im hoping/praying that not updating in time wont completely hose the unit, because at this point I have about ZERO faith that UConnect is going to get an update out in time

This BS has been in progress for roughly 2 months and progress is minimal. We have a week left before a very important device in this state of the art vehicle goes **** up. I hope the programmers at Uconnect don’t have anything to do with the aircraft industry. I can live with being lost in my truck, but it won’t kill me.

I downloaded the 17.43.01 on Sun Oct 27. Got completely through the whole deal and files check w/ the website's. info. Haven't done it yet. My truck's got the 18.43 pop-up "jammed" in its memory and nothing Uconnect says to do helps. "Take it to your dealer" is all I get. Wish there was another expert electronics guy that just worked on stuff like this. My dealer has not been a friend.

as often as you can, to see if the file becomes downloadable. Then download it and PM me (or anyone in this thread) that you have it. This seems like a real deal important update and with so many of us on upgraded head units, we're going to need the support.

Also, if anyone has a good relationship with a service department, see if you can talk to them and find out if/when THEY can download it, and even better if you can grab a copy.

It's not available for download yet. Several of us are waiting for it... will likely need to get these from a dealer once an Official TSB for the dealer download is available.

I'll follow you on this thread. I've read every post on this thread and it got pretty technical and I got lost in the weeds.

Ya know, I thought I did the update six weeks ago when I got the popup on my screen and told it to update.

So let me get this strait, for my own edification. There are two updates going on, the first is to fix the GPS roll over issue (I'll call that GPS firmware). Its the one being automatically pushed everywhere. The second is the full software update to 18.45.01 or 18.50.35 depending (which may also include the GPS firmware).

The GPS firmware update takes less than 10 minutes, the full software update takes much longer. You must update the GPS firmware or the truck may roll off the end of the earth on Nov 2, but you don't have to update the full software, although you may want to.

I received the GPS firmware update screen, went through the process, but dunno if it took. I didn't see a update in progress screen and I don't think I saw a confirmation screen, but I'm no longer getting reminders. The software version did not change.

It is beyond me why at this point they don't just post the update for download? Time is running out and I have such poor coverage where I live I doubt I could get the OTA even if it does get pushed to me.
