Roof leaking? 2018

Today my son rode in my back seat. He noticed water 'staining' on my headliner in the rear corners of my back seat. Talked to a friend that owns a detail shop and he said they see it pretty often and chalk it up to condensation on the rear window wicking up into the headliner but I'm not buying that. Where it is stained I'd think it is the black weatherstrip on the seams on the roof? Possibly the 3rd brakelight but the water is running towards the sides of the truck before getting wicked up into the headliner?

Very well known problem,my 2019 have the third brakelight leak,wet spots in the headliner corner, replace the old gasket with good quality ones, plus I add a silicone outside, around the whole light fixture, problem solved.

+1 on the third brake light leaking. Known problem for quite awhile now. When you pull the third brake light to get at the seal you’ll see why the water pools in the corners of the cab. Basically behind the third brake light is a bottom plate and that rolls the water out toward the side corners where it stains the headliner. The water spots on the headliner can be removed or greatly reduced to barely visible. I successfully used hydrogen peroxide and a damp microfiber cloth to get rid of the stains. Others have used different methods that work well also.

That third brake light has been a leak issue for many years . Follow Burlas advice above and you will resolve the problem.

4 places these trucks leak, 3rd brake light, rear cab vents, cab lights, and sunroof (if equipped)

Pull the 3rd brake light and run a bead of silicone around it, worked great for me.

clear RTV silicone...don't get carried away with it...use the nozzle with a fine point opening
