Alright anyone else here using the S&B cold air intake?

Thought I ordered the dry filter and they shipped me the oiled cleanable filter. Says to spray 20g. Oil using S&B oil but no one here has it so will K&N oil filter oil work?



Are there any risks of sucking that nasty oil into motor?

S&B intake is a popular one, lots of guys are using it, I cannot comment as I'm not, sure someone will chime in.

K&N is crap.

Go to Moe's Performance (preferred vendor --->)
and order the oil kit. Matt ships quick and the only thing slowing you down will be the stuff the fat boy couldn't fit in his sleigh (coming UPS).

Thanks for the info, its good to be installed from factory though right? Says its pre-oiled.

S&B would have been my choice if I wouldn't have bought the Vararam.

I have the S&B too but with the non-oiled filter. It's a hell of a well-built intake. It's the first time I've ever bought an intake and haven't felt like I was ripped off after I installed it. The quality of it is awesome

I have been using s&b for about three months. The hose clamps keep coming loose. Truck starts to run like ****. Once a week i'm under the hood. Cranking the ******* down. I'm about ready to whip the the ***** in the trash. Looks nice not sure if there is much gain with it! .5 mpg maybe

I've got a S&B too and I love it. I cleaned mine with the K&N cleaner kit. I can get it at the local Canadian Tire.

I honestly wished that I would've went with the vararam, in have seen or noticed a difference, what so ever, with this intake.

If anyone has a newer, in good shape vararam, id trade you. I have mine on my truck since January. Its in perfect shape.

Lol can't even have a Vararam, guess 4.7s aren't made to get a good intake lol
