I have a question about a noise my truck is making, when I have the vent on heat/air, it will make a high pitch squealing sound and the higher it is turned up the louder and more annoying it gets, just wondering if you have a clue of what it could be.

That and I've had a stalling issue since I bought my truck over a year ago, whenever my truck sits stationary for roughly 6 hours+ it will run until almost heated up completely and will pretty much just shut off as if someone is turning the key off, when it stalled today I pulled off one of the spark plug wires and connected a new spark plug directly into the end of it grounding it to a piece of metal on the motor, when I tried to turn it over afterwards there was no spark, so what do you suggest could be the issue?

Any and everybit of information that can be provided is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
SJohnson

*Bump*

I know there are smarter people out there than me, especially with vehicle issues. I'd appreciate everyone's help.

The vent noise could very well be either the blower or something entirely different.. More info needed where does it sound like its coming from? Etc. The stalling could be numerous things as well.. When was the last time a complete tune up was done.. And wires pinched? Major repair work done? Any other symptoms?

If you do not have spark the first things to check are cam and crank sensors as these sensors dictate spark timing. If one of these sensors malfunction, the spark plugs won't fire.

It seems to have a harder time starting in the morning when the weather is warmer, I've replaced the plugs and wires, as for the rest of the complete tuneup I was unable to do the rest financially at the time. The noise from the vent is more seemingly coming from the defrost vents/two center face vents by the stereo, it hasn't done that in a few days though so I'm unsure exactly where to describe it right now.
