according to the general manager I was talking to Marc Michuad they are 09-13 ram 1500. was asking due to not seeing anything on their site but a few pics and a video of a pre-production kit. they do offer a 10% active military discount as well. [email protected] is what my emails say.

Pretty cool! Does it retain the factory exhaust manifolds?

I take it the flimsy duct coming from the turbo is the fresh air inlet? Besides that it looks like a cool start up kit

asked that this was his response a few days ago

Hello Donovan,

I recommend that you at least leave the factory exhaust manifolds in place. Headers will quickly dissipate heat which can make the turbo spool time slower. Typically we do not modify any of the exhaust components with our turbo system! Our system is even designed to work with the factory dual exhaust tips!

We would also be replacing your entire intake system with our charge tubes.

I was thinking the same about intake. was thinking of hard piping and where to run it too.

They have gotten better over the years with pipe sizing and reducing turbo lag.

Fact is still, a front mount turbo will be better.
A STS kit will be better than nothing and will show some significant horsepower gains.

Again, dont forget about the tranny..

Heard nothing but bad thinks with these guys.
On a different note procharger now has support for 2013 trucks.

I would love a nice procharger setup. Just couldn't afford all the other stuff needed to run it at its best.

Because the STS turbos are below the sump oil level, they require a scavenger pump to pull the oil out of the turbo. Unless they have upgraded their pumps, they were the common failure point on these kits. When the oil stops flowing, it backs up into the housing, heats up, fries the bearings, and suddenly you have a toasted turbo. Even with a voltage warning indicator on the pump it doesn't take long to destroy the inducer. Now, there are oil-less turbos available now and since they aren't sitting right on the intake manifold they may last much longer in a remote application.

My luck I'd drag it off when I go offroading.

All that can be mitigated by using a water/oil cooled turbo. My neighbor just did twin rear mounted turbo's on his C6 corvette. Switch to an electric water pump and e-fan. When you turn off the vehicle the pump and fan will still run for a couple minutes to cool the turbo down so you don't get coking from the oil.

Or a turbo timer lol? Or is is that just for mazda protegespeeds with a gready strapped underneath the steering collum cover or a 2012 tdi that wont ket you turn it off right away if youve been beating it and then decide to park.

Might be easier than changing the water pump but hey if you have crazy turbo setups you might as well have an electric water pump right!

Personally you will be 100% happier with a front mount. I've got less than 4,000$ in my front mount build

Remote mount turbos are a neat idea. But they're just a flawed design.
Lubrication is the largest flaw, but unnecessarily long boost pipes really hurt too.

KLRPanda has it right, you can find a good shop and fab up a proper turbo kit for the same amount, and have a quality install w/o all the failure points.
