These guys in Sweden have alot of swap kits to put the Chyrco 8 speeds into other chassis's and behind other engines

The newest revision of the LS/LT/SB/BB kit for the 8HP Dodge transmissions has now got 845RE/850RE compatibility. It has also been made slimmer and lighter without compromising strength.
Simply bringing the most versatile and compatible 8HP Dodge adapter kit to the market.
The LS/LT/SB/BB kit is now compatible with more or less all Dodge 8HP transmissions (except Ecodiesel, it got its own variant).
The kit is now fully compatible with:
Charger/Challenger 8HP70/75
Scat pack 8HP70/75
RAM 1500 8HP70/75
Hellcat 8HP90
Trackhawk 8HP95
845RE/850RE
All our other Dodge kits will get the same support as we are doing this as a running change.
Large stock available, ready to go!

On the diesel forum , I see lots of manual swaps now. :favorites37: Heck you can get a Eaton adapter plate and run a 6 or 10 or 13 speed
Yeah but I Wana put a 12v in a 1500 that currently has a hemi And keep most of the running gear

That's alot of weight on the 1500's light duty frame and front end

It's about 250 - 300lbs more. I figure a guys bush bumper and winch setup can't be much more. Plus id upgrade the front coils to hd.

4bt would be a better choice. That 1500 front end is pure junk. The weight of a 12v would kill it.

If my 5.7 ever kicks the bucket, I might put in a 4bt in my Ram. With a zf5

4bt is way harder to find and I only need a few pieces to be able to build the 6bt. Plus the 4bt balance seems way rougher than the 6bt. Everything I ever worked on with a 4bt rattled the crap out if whatever it was attached to o_O plus two extra holes are always better Hehe....
I'm 110k ish miles never replaced any frontend components other than axles so I can't complain.

Thats because you dont have a 1200 Lbs engine in the front ;) Heck an aftermarket bumper and winch sags the front end of the 1500s... lol...

Sounds like a solid axle swap would be fun to do.

Triggered a memory....I swear it was on this forum a ways back, but someone blew up the 5.9/360 in a 2002 1500 2wd and decided to put a 12v in it. Took some pics along the way, talked about how hard it was to get it to work like factory and probably wouldn't do the swap again lol. Used 2500 coils to keep the front end up. Ring a bell for anyone else?

Yeah the old guy had a 4bt in a old Dakota. He swapped the newer efi cummins into a ram and hated it,underpowered as most 4 cylinders are. He owned an adapter company in bc so he built his own trans adapters. I reached out to the company a couple Months ago and they said that was a one off adapter and they don't have the specs to make it again. I know it'd be alot of work. I thought about swapping an om606 into it but I don't think it'd have what I'm looking for.
