Yeah, it's a wild west show now. Life used to be a lot simpler.
I saw this happening at work with EPA having completed it's congressional mandates, they kept right on going to stay employed rather being disbanded as they should have been.
The level of absurd micro regulations having little impact on the environment but huge impact on manufacturers and owners since then continues to be astounding and confounding.
I struggled to manage a product line portfolio of diesel and gaseous engines from 30 to 3000 hp. The EPA chopped then up into power bands with different requirements at different dates and different Tier levels. I about lost my mind, but we did it.
My reward was being tossed out when we were done so executives still got bonuses despite praising our work. Smiling liars.
