Crazy, I know, but I added an AEM dryflow air filter and that drone I had at 1700 rpm doing 80 mph is now gone! Who'd have thunk something so simple could fix something so annoying!

Try it. Let me know your results.

What exhaust was giving you drone? Curious as exhaust and intake are still a couple of my ‘to-do’s’

Magnaflow. I don't have the exact part number. I can get it later if you need that. It was welded in.

Stock air box or CAI? My 2500 6.4 4x4 had no drone after K&N CAI went on, but once MagnaFlow was added, had the drone. If I keep it at +/- 2k, it is almost gone. 4.10s in mine.

Not 1st, 2nd or 3rd? No Trophy!

stock box. The only change was the filter.

Was it only when truck drops down to eco mode? My challenger has a flow master 40 exhaust and I hate the sound it makes when car drops into eco mode.

Been debating exhaust on the ram but knew I would have that problem with it too

My 2500 never sees use in "D". Always use Electronic Range Select (ERS +/-). That way you're always running on all 8 cyl. so MDS never kicks in. I "shift manually" bc I am better at picking shift points than a trans designed for a diesel. Tow/Haul mode makes it even better. I HATE how this trans is constantly downshifting bc its in the wrong gear.

Not 1st, 2nd or 3rd? No Trophy!

well i have been shutting my mds off every time i enter the truck now that i figured out how in my 17 1500 LMAO

not a fan of the MDS and as far as i can see doesnt really get any better mileage using it....

YEP...I agree...WORST trans I have ever owned in an H.D. truck
