tune change..... sike lol

Well, putting 99 dollars into the tank the other day and almost havin a heart attack doin it. Figured I would try the Mileage XS tune. First ride there is definitely a difference. Thought it was odd, but the trans options are still there to change stuff. Figured it would he a here ya go, all ya get type thing. Well see what the mileage tells me at next fill up. Did decide earlier today that I like the sound of my exhaust takin off slower, doesn't scream as much more rumble. Just thought I would share. Only gonna go down to 89, not putting poop 87 in my truck

Good luck with it, when I had my old flashpaq I got considerably less mpg running the mileage tunes vs running the performance tune.

I have gotten better mpgs with the performance tune (91 octane) over the mileage tune running 89

I dont know about the prices where you are at, but here the difference between 87 and 91 is about $0.20, so overall on a tank of gas that $4 +/-. To put it in perspective, if you go out to eat everyday for lunch or a couple days for lunch, a whopper value meal from burgerking costs more than that so skip a day of lunch and pick up about 3mpg over their "mileage tune" and have some fun with the truck.

Besides they are now expecting gas to drop $0.50 over the summer.

LOL I was wonderin who was goin to report on what they found with that tune. I was thinkin about tryin it too, but I said screw it. It's a HEMI hahaha if I was worried about gas mileage I'd get a moped. Mine will stay on the performance tune! :D :D
Go big or go home!

Lol, pretty good math Ryan.

Well its true, everyone wants to nickel and dime things lately, but when you put it in perspective its not that much more to run the good stuff over the cheapo stuff. Its more sticker shock than anything. You look at a price and for whatever reason $0.20 makes your skin crawl. Now if it were a $2.00 difference between the good stuff and the chit stuff well that would be a whole nother story. but for 20 cents? I'll just bring my lunch one extra day a week and not go out.

If Im gonna get my ass ***** by the gas companies, I at least want to have some fun while they are doing it lol

^^ You have a pretty good point.. I might start payin for the 91 instead of 89.. and change it back to 91 tune. I think it's just the thought of the price once I'm done fillin up that gets me to buy 89, but hell.. in the end it's only a few dollars more... Good point :D
