What is an affordable tuner for a 2016 Ram with a 5.7?

Affordable? There really isn’t one. You’ll need an unlocked PCM to go with it so you’re probably looking at $500-600 minimum for the Diablo Intune 3 I think it is and another couple hundred for a custom tune for any really noticeable gains.

2015+ vehicles have the GPEC2A PCM. They require an unlock. I'd recommend getting a donor unit for modification/exchange. You can get a compatible module at a scrap yard, or ebay pretty cheap. Any 2015 and up Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM one should work.

I seem to find the challenger ones for around $40 on ebay. I also grabbed a chrysler 200 at LKQ for about the same.

HPTuners
There is only one option. You can have a professional tuner generate a custom tune for you. But you will also have full control of the tune parameters. I recommend this for advanced users.
If you buy the MPIv2 direct from HP Tuners they will include a PCM unlock.
$300 + credits for the vehicle($50 each). 2 for engine, and 4 for transmission.

Total cost = $400-$600.

Diablosports
They have several options.
PCM exchange with i3 or t2
Moe's performance has a package for each.
You won't have full ability to modify the tune, and will need a tuner for customization. But there are some preloaded tunes from my understanding.
PCM included price/exchange:
I3=$900/500
T2=$1000/700

Can also add hemi fever tunes
+$100 for engine only
+$200 for engine and transmission

There are some other semi tuner options. No PCM needed, no customization of tune,
One from Diablosports, the pulsar. And one from Pedal Commander.

Pulsar = $500
Pedal Commander = $300

I don't know much about either. But I imagine the pulsar is just. A beefed up Pedal Commander with 8 levels to choose from. Pedal commander just gives you a little more throttle response.

^ boom literally best response you're going to get on here. I did the i3 with pcm swap. Paid $500. Then a custom tune through Jay Greene (which he raised his prices). I paid $300 I think for a tcm and engine tune.
