I didn't do too much to the truck today, just had one addition. For the fact that my manhood was being challenged if i didn't do it, I think it turned out great. I decided to go with dual 2" stacks made from professional grade aluminized exhaust pipe.
Whatdya think?!

he'll light up a cigarette and blow that through them little pipes :supergay:

LMAO, those things only stayed up there long enough to take a picture to prove my manhood. I work at autozone, so it was as easy as going to the exhaust section and grabbing 2 downpipes and a couple pieces of straightpipe and putting them together, taking the picture, and putting them back on the shelf

There's an f150 around town here with stacks identical to those! Odd looking truck... Hes got cab lights, 22's w/ low profiles, so much chrome it looks tacky, and it's a stock height 2x4. Not sure what he's goin for, but next time I see it I'll try to snap a pic

Me and Schroeder put my gauges in today. Turned out to be quite the all day event. I now have Autometer Phantom Pyro, Boost, and Trans gauges in my A-Pillar.

Thanks for the help man!

I didn't take too many pics, but here is what I have...

Tapping the intake manifold... lemme tell ya, this was nerve-racking

Tapping the exhaust manifold... this was even worse...

So any tips for once I get to do it?

Haha be careful! Don't freak out too much about drilling into the exhaust manifold, it's a pain, but all we put on the side was magnets to keep the big pieces out of the turbo and it did a great job. Make sure you find a good tap. I bought my initial one at Menards and couldnt get it to catch when trying to tap the intake manifold so we had to go out and find a new one. You will need a 1/8" NPT (pipe thread) to tap the exhaust and probably the intake.

Go slow and take ur time. Lots of wires. Schroeder organized them and taped them all over the front of the truck so we didnt get them mixed up.

Just take your time and make sure you have all the parts you need. Autometer didn't get us everything we needed.

On the exhaust probe...the threads are supposed to be half in and half out, so put a zip tire on your tap so you know how far you need to go in.

Use different color wire...all we got was black, thats why you see the wires taped all over his truck. I had to write down what was taped were and what it went to.

Run your wires threw the gauge pillar before you connect them to the gauge...I kept forgetting to do that...so I had to unhook them, route it threw the pillar, then hook em back up.

Dont forget thread sealent for your boost probe.

Make sure your hole is in the right spot on your exhaust manifold...if not, you will have an expensive peice of metal thats no use. There are 2 different mainfold that are used...and the hole is differnt on the 2. So make sure what manifold you have.

All in all it really wasn't a bad install...it took longer bc this was the first time I've done pyro and boost...I've only done tranny. If I was to do it again tomorrow I could prob do it in 2 hours.

TIP .. Anytime you tap a thread like a manifold where you have to keep any and all shavings out ... coat the tap in grease . All shavings will stick to it .
