So I have a Volant Intake and scoop on my 2013 ram, and it just isn't doing anything for me.

I'm thinking of selling it and replacing it with either the Vararam or and S&B Intake.

I know many on here have the Vararam, I just wanted to know some of there thoughts or pro's or con's of the Vararam, or the S&B.

I've had both and I prefer the Vararam (Currently Installed). The S&B was nice in that it was enclosed and you could get a filter wrap, however, mine caused an annoying rattle over rough roads that I could never resolve no matter how I played with the mounting (Rubber isolators, foam padding, etc). I like how much room the Vararam frees up under the hood and it just seems to flow better. The IAT is also lower with the Vararam during my testing by a few degrees.

While I haven't had the S&B, I've had the Mopar CAI and Vararam. I run the vararam now and noticed an improvement in throttle response and it sounds a little better.

No dirt problem with mine--and no water problem either.

I like the Vararam, only thing i noticed was during massive down pours while on the highway following traffic I did geta little water in the pan, but element stayed dry.

You have a Volant, I say keep it. I highly doubt your going to notice any power difference at all changing it. And we all drive with our hoods down, so looks wise you barely ever see it, lol. I say save your money, if it's part of your mod fund, put it towards another mod.
I have an S&B btw, and like it. Don't know how much power it gave me, but it's on there.

Had the s&b on mine. Took it off and sold it. Didn’t notice any difference at all. Looking into a vararam now.

My S & B had same annoyance that I chased for weeks. Finally cured it by putting a 1-1/2 finish washer on top bolt in front of grommet, and cranking box tight against fender wall.
