So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Washed, waxed & ordered zone 1.5” bl hope to have installed in a couple of weeks. Keeping all of you in the path of the storms in my thoughts & prayers

Swapped out my lows to leds and lost one of the push pin retaining clips for the wheel well access cover. Called the dealer to make sure they had them in stock which they did for 5 bucks. Went over there and they gave me two for free!

Spent the full week on and off detailing my Ram. Wife did the interior in 30min but I have around 8 hours into the exterior. Got it clean to every corner, door jam, tailgate jam, under hood, around the bumpers and down under the rockers. Cleanest its been since new. Had to do this so I can ceramic coat it. This stuff is bad ass, the shine in incredible and everything feels like glass. Still need to work on the glass a bit to get off some hard water stains, clean the wheel wells and the engine. I work slow but in the end it all gets done.

Here is the link to the ceramic coating I used from Chemical Guys:

Looks great. I lost about 3 mpgs on the Eco when I installed 35's. I'd be interested to know how your trip goes.

I'll be in the market for tire before winter. Currently have duratracs and won't be running these again. I'm torn between these new toyo at3s and coopers since they're both offered in the size I want. The only part that has me hesitant on the toyos is that they are pretty noisy, but I have yet to confirm that for sure. I don't mind a little bit of noise, but I've had my share of loud tires and with the amount I drive it gets old anymore.

Cooper's are great tires. Owned and made in America. My Mickey Thompsons (sub of Cooper) have done very well so far.

I have to say that these are not noisy at all...…….. none of my Toyo A/T's have been noisy and this is the 4th set I've had (on various vehicles) my favorite LT tire.

@hodge-xj For what it's worth I just bought OC AT3s and feel like the noise level for a AT is beyond acceptable. YMMV.

Back to back conflicting posts! Lol I love it. I currently have duratracs and until I maxxed these out in psi there were incredibly noisy as well. It doesn't bother me but I'm looking to avoid if I can on my next set of tires.

How so? I think he and I are saying the same thing. I think you'd be happy with either but I'm really liking my Toyos so far. No experience with the Coopers.

Unless you read "beyond acceptable" as a bad thing, which reading it back to myself I guess I could see. Sorry, not the intent! :)

Yesterday I resealed my custom one of a kind AlphaRex Retrofit build.

I use 8 Morimoto Moto-Clips, 2 spring clamps, 2 mini c-clamps and 1 vice grip and then tie 2 tie-down straps around them, on each light housing.

This assured maximum closure, and I’ve been doing it this way for years and I never have moisture issues (knocks on wood).

Should be ready to go back on my truck later today.

For anyone interested here is the build info.

Lights- AlphaRex G1 Early Version.
Low Beam - (2) Morimoto D2S 4.0 Projectors
High Beam - (2) Morimoto D2S 4.0 Projectors
L/H Bulbs - (4) Morimoto D2S 5500k
Ballasts - (4) Morimoto XB35
Up DRL - (2) Profile 12” Sequential Strip
Up DRL RGB - (2) Profile Prism 12” RGBWA Strip
Lwr. DRL - (2) Profile 16” Sequential Strip
Lwr. DRL RGB - (2)Profile Prism 16” RGBWA Strip
Demon Eyes - (4) Profile Prism RGB in All 4 Projectors
RGB Controller - (1) Morimoto XBT Bluetooth
Custom Paint - Gloss Black w/ PR4 Flame Red Shrouds

All wiring is either 9005/9006 plugs or mini JST plugs. No cut/spliced wiring at all. Everything is plugged so no loose wiring or crappy solder/connectors.

I spent an enormous amount of time on this build. More then I ever wanted too. The research and development of the custom mounting needed for the dual D2S projectors went through 5 different trials, over almost 3 weeks of research and custom fabrication until I finally found a good design.

All 4 projectors run for low beams, all 4 shields drop for high beams.

Love this build, so excited to get it back on my truck. It’s been awhile since it’s been on there. Had to remove them and take off the VViViD Hex+ tint I put on the DRL lenses because it dimmed the DRL too much. Also had to add the Profile Sequential Strips because the white/amber on the Profile RGB was just not bright enough for me. So now each DRL location has 2 strips; 1 RGB and 1 sequential. The RGB ones stay off until I activate them with my phone, so they won’t affect daily driving. Same with the demon eyes.

Also waiting on these to arrive. Badge comes tomorrow. Grille will be here end of week or weekend. DZ Tailgate assists will be here tomorrow aswell.
