What temp settings should I use for V6 electric fan conversion on a 5.7 with a stock 203 thermostat?

Hello -I’m wanting my 4th gen Ram 5.7 to run cooler while towing (a 4500# camper), but would rather not swap the stock thermostat to avoid codes. While towing(before current mods), Engine runs 230-235 and oil is 240-250. Trans 195-200.
I’ve installed a v6 electric fan & deleted AGS and plan on installing a tuner. I also plan to install dual remote oil filter kit.

With the tuner, what temp setting do I use to turn the fan on and off with the 203 stat? Is there a quality 193ish thermostat on the market I should consider?

What else can you recommend to help the engine run cooler while towing with minimal mods. Looking for longevity over performance.

Put the stock mechanical fan and shroud back on,it moves more air then the electric fan does. It's luck of the draw on getting a good thermostat these days no matter brand.
You can drop down to a 180 t-stat where you are,and it shouldn't throw any codes.
Set the fan settings roughly 12 to 15 degrees higher then the thermostats rated temp.

I have never had issues with cooling and the stock clutch fan I tow my car trailer and boat often. You have other isssues if your running that hot maybe the clutch fan was bad or you have other cooling system issues.

Even the higher power 850Watt electric fan the EcoDiesel and Gen5 trucks use don't move as much air as the mechanical fan.

The fans are only beneficial at low speed. So, if you're getting that hot at highway speeds, then a fan isn't the issue. A 180 thermostat won't hurt anything, but I suspect that if your temps are getting that hot pulling 4500lbs, then you have an issue with the actual cooling system. Might be time for a flush and water pump.

I have a 2014 1500 5.7 Outdoorsman and changed the small electric fan and the clutch fan to the larger electric fan. Changed the Thermostat to a 180. Flush out the cooling system. I am more than satisfied with it.
