Would it be possible?

So came across a YouTube channel where they swapped 5th gen hd front end onto a 4th gen hd. I know we can swap the 4th gen hd front end onto a 1500. So wouldnt that mean a 5th gen hd onto a 4th gen 1500 be possible?

So switching from 4th gen 1500 to 4th gen 2500 only requires mounting point mods as far as I know?

I’d say you could throw a 5th gen 2500 front on as well but it would certainly add the extra layer of converting all the lighting over.

So yeah it’s probably not impossible but would add that extra layer. And as usual I’m sure there’s someone somewhere who’s accomplished it lol.

FYI: this truck is supposedly a bumper only swap. Meaning he didn’t go the grill and hood etc.

Just got an HD bumper and the little blank panels (for under each headlight) and made custom brackets for everything to line up.

it looks like it matches up real well with the 09-12 1500 grilles.

To get the newer HD front end on I think you’d definitely need a lot more to get it done:
Fenders
Hood
Headlamps
Grille
Bumper
Parking sensors (are they interchangeable? From new gen?)
Wiring conversion/harnesses
Alpha obd?

I wouldnt need sensors as mine has none.
And I'm sure some type of wiring for the headlights.
And headlight.

It's just a thought been wanting to do a hd conversion just because I like the look.

My guess is the 5th gen headlights alone would cost more than an entire 4th gen HD conversion lol.



I bet if there was a prefab kit to replicate the gray truck I posted above that it’d sell like hot cakes.
