I'm pretty sure on all of these trucks, the pipes coming out of the cats are 2.5 and Y's into 3" if you have factory dual exhaust. I didn't premeasure mine. Just went with what I've read on here. the dual 2.5/Single 3 matched perfectly.

Thank you. Yes my exhaust is stock other than shortys and a Carven muffler. I just got confused looking at Moe's website. IIRC, he has 2.25", 2.5", and 3" on the dual side. Mine is a '17 crew cab. I'll order the 2.5". Thank you!

Any after pics of the new y-pipe installed? I wonder if a back yard mechanic could do this with some good band style clamps?

From the rear looking forward.

If you can cut the existing pipe, bend and flair new pipe, and clamp it in, go for it. The shade tree mechanic in me says no way. There are some pretty significant bends needed and there isn't much room. My shop pieced it together down where the old Y was to make it work.

Yeah the ones on the 2500 6.4L are even worse than that. I know smashing two pipes to fit in one is cheaper than the correct fitting but come on FCA! Looks like some shade tree quick fix.
What are the pipe sizes on the 6.4? I have a local exhaust guy willing to do it.He said it would be a lot cheaper if we had a pre made pipe. I have a 2017 RAM 2500 w/ 6.4. Anyone have a part numberfor that magnaflow pipe? Inlet/ outlet diameters?

Mac's Custom Exhaust and Fabrication in Manassas Park, VA did a great job on this mod for my 2019 1500 Classic. They give veterans' discounts. Butt dyno estimates 10 whp / 10 tq. You can see (upside down) my passenger side pipe was almost completely crushed as compared to the driver's side (on right). Included pics of front to rear, rear oblique of install with Mac and his son Anthony, who is learning to weld from his dad. (I think that's awesome!) He got some practice on my pipe. For under $300.00, it's a great deal for ten more ponies, considering the price of the Magnaflow Y, and that they used 409 stainless.
