Hey all, I did a quick checkup on the oil level in a 2003 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi V8.
However, I found it very difficult the read the level the oil is at.

I did all the usuall stuff: engine is cold, not parked on a slope, dipstick cleaned and dipped etc.

Ill post an image below, and maybe some handy guys can help me out

I've yet to get a good reading by pulling the dipstick / wiping it off / then reinserting it right away and pulling it back out to check,i find you have to let it sit for awhile with the dipstick out, so the oil has a chance to run back down the tube before sticking the dipstick back in. I've got in the habit of pulling the dipstick out of the tube about 2" the night before,so the oil can run out of the tube, then sticking it back down and checking it in the morning. That applies to all 3 Dodges i own
