I recently tore into this pig 2013 ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Had a failed lifter along with a screwed up cam . changed all parts and went to start truck and it runs really rough and have to hold throttle down for it to stay running. I know its in time and the plugs and one coil have been also been changed. Help help help

Last person that did this installed pushrods wrong & ended up bending them.

Is the vvt solenoid plugged in? Any ticking noises? The pushrods can be a little tricky to get installed properly. I’ve seen a fair bit of bent push rods or push rods installed in the wrong hole.

I have seen that post about the cam install. Used a lot of info from it for the cam install along with timing but I took the oil pump off to make it easier . I'm pretty sure I have the push rods in the right holes. Not sure if they would line up with rockers if they were in the wrong holes. Yes there is a lil jangle noise when it is running but I have to hold throttle for it to run. Otherwise it sputters out .

MDS cam & lifters or non-MSD?

Anyone have any pictures or images of the push rods in the correct holes?? So I can verify but I'm sure they are in the right holes.

So I got it figured out the truck will start and idle. But idles kind of rough. Also setting a code for p0013 and wont do the cam crank relearn from scan tool. Should I change sensors or do an oil change any advice would be nice.
