What specific oil & filter are you using?
Which Valvoline? Conventional, blend, or full syn? Is there any valve train noise or "ticking" sound? The reason I ask is because there have been a lot of cam/lifter issues with these engines that seem to correlate to oil/filters used. It seems most are having issues while using oils with low Moly and/or Zinc content. One thing they all have in common is that a misfire code starts the ball rolling and some fail fairly quickly after getting the code.Mopar filter, Valvoline 5-20 changed ever 5K (3 times now).

15000 miles is kind of early for a lifter failure, but not impossible. I would check the coil by swapping it with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows.
.Why bother, if it's a real problem it will come up again way before the powertrain watranty expires.
